Ken Hite, who’s an old-hat RPG designer and columnist for GamingReport.com devoted his Halloween column to his picks for top ten most influential horror RPGs. Surprisingly (and much to the annoyance of some hardcore gamers) the number one spot went to West End Games’ Ghostbusters RPG – not so much for the horror (though frankly, with the right mission, it could be) but for it’s invention of the dice pool, which in was used in turn on a number of other influential games.
