It’s becoming pretty clear that Vivendi and Sony went all out on their opening PR salvo for the Ghostbusters video game. In addition to the exclusive coverage from Game Informer (US) and NFormer (UK) magazines comes Xtreme magazine in Spain. No idea what’s inside, but if any PC reader happens to get their hands on a copy and can scan us a copy, that would be something I’d like to read.
Similar to Game Informer, Xtreme has also included a retro-Ghostbusters gaming feature, judging by the blocky Stay-Puft on the cover.
HA! Awkward, but funny headline.
An ad in UK’s Empire magazine lists coming Blu-Ray discs from Sony, including Ghostbusters in “2008”. This is in Region 2 format, but I have it on good authority that there will be a Region 1 Blu-Ray disc for the release of the Ghostbusters video game in fall.
This is not official, but (shrug) why not? PC will continue to monitor the situation until there is official confirmation.

According to the November 16th blog entry (no direct link, sorry) at Gamestop.com, their main store support office in Grapevine, Texas, had a visitor the to help promote the just announced Ghostbusters video game – a 20 foot tall, inflated Mr. Stay-Puft. Either that, or they’ve made a very convincing photoshop image.

Chad at Ghostbusters.net has revived GB Chat, which as you can guess, is a place for fans of Ghostbusters to gather and… chat. And, as the year progresses, I’m sure there will be a lot to chat about.
However – a caution from me. It may not always be busy, so best to drop in at times you might expect people to be around, like evenings and weekends. Better yet, you could always consider taking matters into your own hand and arranging times to meet, through the various Ghostbuster messageboards around.
