No word yet where if it’s going to hit the road anytime soon, but for the moment it appears the restored Ecto-1 is resting in the shade on the Sony lot.
ID card contest – CLOSED!
OK, you’ve all got until midnight PST to get your entries in for the contest. Don’t send any after midnight, it will only make me cranky, and I’ll make you send ME a button.
[UPDATE] Contest Closed! And there were a lot of you. A lot. So, it may take awhile to get the winners up. Don’t be emailing me or anything – I haven’t forgotten. Good luck, and remember, there’s a button in it for you, regardless.
Ghostbusters extra to interview Ghostbusters director
As part of the Montreal Just For Laughs comedy festival (or more specifically, for the Just Comedy business portion of the festival), Jason Reitman will be interviewing his father, Ivan Reitman. I suspect that Ghostbusters will likely come up at least once. The interview will take place on July 17th (giving Ivan more than enough time to travel to, ooooh, I dunno, the San Diego Comic Con, if he so choose.)
Haunted Housework tee!

It’s a dust-buster / ghostbuster reference. Get it? Actually, it’s kind of a cool t-shirt. I’m tempted to get one ($19.95USD is not a bad price either.)
Ecto-1 versus Terminal Reality
I’ve gotten a lot of pictures from various people over the last week, all of them taken at an appearance of the Ecto-1 in Texas. Where in Texas? Lewisville. At the Terminal Reality offices. The developers of the Xbox/PS3/PC SKUs of the Ghostbusters game got to get hands-on with the Ectomobile last week under the smirking gaze of a 28 foot tall Mr. Stay-Puft. Also, it appears from local fans dropped by, as well as some random strangers (probably having spotted the giant marshmallow man.)
Check out the oodles of pictures here!
Eric emailed me links to his pics and a video of the Terminal Reality Ecto-1 visit, I totally forgot about it. As usual, Paul saves the day. Thanks Paul!
