There’s a new blog at CHUD, and the author’s opening salvo is outlining what he considers the best 1 minute and twenty-seven seconds in cinema history – I won’t tell you what it is, you can read that for yourself, but suffice to say that it exists in the middle of the best motion picture in cinema history (or at least, I think so. You’re likely to agree as well, if you’re here reading this.)
RSS feed – problems?
A show of hands, those of you using the Proton Charging RSS feed to get PC updates – anybody having any problems? What feed app are you using?
Well, that’s one way of looking at it…
Paul over at Ghostbusters.net spotted this UK Volkswagen short, intended to promote independent cinemas. It’s proof positive that a good sense of humour and a keen mind will let you interpret anything as meaning anything you want. In this case, Ghostbusters is a harsh commentary on a growing health problem in America.
I always thought the message of the movie was “Don’t take a cab in New York.”
“A proton pack is not a toy”
The US Defense Intelligence Agency is looking into recent advances in proton gun technology (used primarily in cancer treatment) as a possible option for dealing with biological threats – unlike a bomb threat, which you can hit deal with by blowing up the package (or various similar pump-it-full-of-energy-make-go-boom options), even the smallest part of a biological package can cause damage. So, the plan is to pump it full of protons, which can be set to stop at a particular distance (where they then dump their energy, but the surrounding area remains intact.) All this thanks to the equipment getting smaller and smaller – sadly, as the science improves, it also makes the movie equipment that much more fictional, but that’s a small price to pay to zap a tumor or a bundle of nerve gas.
Ghostbusters game script is huge!
Ernie Hudson sat down with VideoGaming247 at the London Expo and talk about the game – he had this to say about the game script;
“You know, I read the script, and it’s a really good script,” he said. “It’s huge. It covers every possibility. A regular film script is 120 pages, this thing’s 480 pages, or something.”
They will be posting the full interview later in the week. Stay tuned.
