Someone on Flickr has posted a selection of their precious childhood doo-dads (and a few Samantha Fox photos – must be an England thing.) What’s notable about the collection is a neat selection of Real Ghostbusters notebooks, drawings, and even a handful of RGB mini-comics that came free inside Trio’s (which may be a cereal or a choco-bar – I haven’t finished my research. UK PC readers, help a colonial out.)

Trio’s where a chocolate bar, and they ran a rgb promotion around about 87/8 with stickers, mini comics and such.
Oh my god! I completely forgot about that Trio comic book! The moment I saw the pic I remembered it. I actually had that very one! Like alot of stuff I had when I was a kid I didn’t look after it very well and I don’t know what happened to it.
Hey, I remember those “Trio” bars – I would beg my mum to buy them from our local Budgens. Actually, I think the first time we had a Trio bar was because of the Real Ghost Busters promotion. It’s sad how long ago that was – wish it hadn’t gone by so fast! Still, it’s very nice to see them again. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.

Yes I’ve managed to save 2 of those ghost buster comic books that came free with trio bars. they are a great reminder of being a kid!
i still have a full set of these mini comics, i got them when i was a kid.
