James attended Collectormania Glasgow this weekend, and sat in on a Q&A with Ernie Hudson. According to James, when asked about the upcoming game, Hudson mentioned that Winston is now a Doctor in his own right – which means Dan Aykroyd has been lifting bits from his original Ghostbusters 3 script. If I recall correctly, Winston studied Engineering. Which begs the question, what else has he lifted?
Well that sucks. According to Erik Burnham’s recent tweet, Ghostbusters Ongoing #9 has been delayed for release until May 30th.

I think from a career standpoint it would make a lot of sense for Winston to return to work on his education. It would make him more valuable to the corporation as a whole… especially if it were to begin expanding. So… I’m cool with it. Glad to see that his original script didn’t go too waste

This happened before, as you recall, with Ghostbusters II. A lot of elements that were scrapped from the first film ended up being used – it’s all part of the writing process, I’m sure quite a bit of the ideas that had been sitting idle have been brought into the game script.
That sounds good, there are many cool things in the GB3 script! I will be glad to see some of them in the new game! (But which parts we shall have to see)
I have been trying to find away to read the last revision of the Hellbent script talked about on IGN. I know it will probably never be made but I would still love to read it. Does anybody know where I can view it? Any public record archives or a copy anywhere?
They should just make the third movie once and for all, thats what Aykroyd really want and we fans too. A darker movie sounds the way to go with that Hellbent script; And if Murray doesnt feel like it, well they can just send Venkman him into a Honeymoon with Dana.

I don’t know if it’s really that bizarre that he’s a Doctor after only 2 years have passed since GB2, as we never really get too much of an insight into Winston’s life. Who knows how long he’s been studying.
It is possible Winston earned an honorary Doctor degree, rather than going to school.
Winston being a Doctor, to me, is a bad idea. The magic that makes the GBs what they are, amongst many other things, is their original diversified backgrounds, You got a book-worm, a womanizer, a tech geek grease monkey and real working class guy. There was no need to make him a doctor to make cool stories and keep it as real as ghost fighting blue-colars can be.

He told him 2009 for GB3 in CGI and that’s wonderful GB3 news. Hang on tight because the movie is coming in 2009 GB3 in CGI and it will be a Blast to see!
