Big thanks to Matt Jackson for sending in this clip – it’s a nice look at the event, particularly the live-action dioramas that took place before hand.

That is so cool! I would love to go something like that..

  2. ShodanMark says:

That would have been a blast if they had got the GB UK Elite there. Those costumes were LAME!

  3. stephen says:

was gozer and dana topless at some parts?! what the heck.

  4. Not impressed wit the costumes at all! except maybe dana as gatekeeper, other than that pretty lame stuff!

  5. Matthew says:

    Utter crud!

  6. castewar says:

I think you guys are missing the point – they’re not die-hard Ghostbuster fans. They’re film enthusiasts that organize mass screenings, and this time they chose Ghostbusters. They cobbled their costumes together for this one event – they will not be using them again. Also, they do these monthly, so why should we expect them to spend the better part of a year and hundreds of dollars for a one-off stunt.

Really? They put all that time and energy into a movie we all love, and that’s the best they get, is critiques of their costumes?

  7. castewar says:

    PS – Perspective! Wield it!

    Be like tm!

  8. Dan says:

Props to the dude wandering around at the line as Louis Tully!

  9. Simon B. says:

Heck, if they issued a DVD about the event, I’d buy it tomorrow eyes closed. My money’s on the people who put their hearts in projects. Magic does the rest.

  10. Matt aka clortho says:

You’re all tools if you’re critiquing costumes for an event like this. Seriously. WTF.

This was nice, and I know if I went to something like that out here I’d be all giddy seeing other people putting a show like that on. I bet no one in the noticed didn’t notice the accuracy of their outfits.

I think it was a nice thing they did. I’d love to see you guys that have a problem with the way they dressed going up to them and seeing if they give a damn.

The people that live in our community now.. Jesus.

  11. Dr. Venkman says:

This seriously would annoy the hell out of me. It just looks stupid. It looks like a bunch of wannabee actors basically doing something crudely put together and vaguely similar to the Universal show.

Just watch the damn movie. You don’t need people standing in front of the screen acting the whole time.

And seriously, to the guy who asked if they were topless at one point… go watch it again if you can’t notice that they’re wearing skin tight outfits. Either that, or they just don’t have nipples.

  12. Anthony says:

Holy hell that was impressive! Did NO ONE think to mention the seemingly erotic depiction of Gozer and the dogs??? Like an art noir interpretation! NIce! Who made those masks??? And sure accuracy was not the order of the night but feel, and man did that have feel. Consider the scope of the event folks! That thing looked massive! Just wish I coulda gone

  13. stephen says:

again, am i wrong. but does dana and gozer look topless?

  14. Heydare82 says:

That looked like so much fun. Hundreds of people getting together to celebrate a great movie. Awesome.

Also, Dr. Venkman, you’re right. Why bother getting together with fans and cool people who are showing their appreciation for a movie and making a huge party out of it when you can just pop the dvd in and watch it without silly interuptions such as hot women in body stockings. Seriously, don’t people know how to have fun?

    Rockout!
