As the world fills up with more and more Ghostbusters t-shirts (never a bad thing) and everybody and their dog comes out of the woodwork, swearing they’ve always been massive fans, how does a real Ghosthead stand out? Why, with special handcrafted Ghostbusters items, of course. I’ve collected a couple myself over the years, though it was never as easy as buying online is now. (And if you haven’t yet, check out Dan’s prints – they’re what got me thinking about this stuff.)

Etsy.com has two pages of Ghostbuster items of varying levels of quality, but there are some choice picks; special lucky poker chips featuring Slimer or Mr. Stay-puft, hand screens posters, a tote-bag made of RGB bedsheets, and my favorite, this Terror Dog shirt.

  1. Great!! Thanks for the link, I can take that pic and clean it on corel or photoshop and print my own tees!!

    >:D

  2. Chris ETSY is a great site that has only recently come into my radar, kudos for pointing others to it ! :)

Rolo…I don’t mean to cross any lines here, but as a professional artist, I take issue with that statement. If this was a standard image of a terror dog, from the movie or some other source, then that plan might be okay. Even then its up for debate. But as this is a custom work for sale, by taking it and making your own shirts not only degrades the artist’s claim to a one of a kind item, but violates a basic trust that artists take with putting their work online.
Or to put it simply, do you print your own Dapper Dan posters? How would he or anyone in the community feel if you did?
Do what you please, but do try to think of the people who are trying to make a living at selling their work.

  3. I see your point, and I agree… I won´t make it the same.. I can take it and clean it on photoshop and print it like it is… but I´m a designer, a comic artist… I have creativity too and I can improve the design of the tee… I´d hate to see my GB logo I redesigned time ago on some tees without giving credit to me… I just loved the idea of a terror dog design on a tee, but Rolo´s style.
Put the gun down my friend.

  4. No guns here, I use high explosives. ;)
    Its all good :)

  5. I, too, found out about Etsy not too long ago. Some nice stuff, but nothing yet that has appealed to me enough to consider buying it. I do like the idea of turning the old RGB bedsheets in tote bags. Very clever.

  6. this post is quoted by Etsy round-up part 2 says:

[...] been almost exactly a year since we checked in on Etsy, and thanks to MustardBud’s recent addition to the one-of-a-kind [...]
