If you’ve ever thought, hey, I wish I had Ghostbusters on my video iPod or iPhone, well, now is the time to act – iTunes is offering the complete movie for $4.99 (that’s 5$ cheaper than normal.) And at some point since I picked up Ghostbusters for my iPhone last year, Apple added Ghostbusters 2 (No sale here – it’s the full $9.99.) Thanks, Dan! I nearly forgot about your email!

[UPDATE] Sale is now over – hopefully everyone who would be interested got a chance to grab it.

There’s software you can buy called DVD Ripper to convert dvds to MP4s. I’ve had GB on my iPod/iPhone for a couple years now. It’s a great application…I even ripped some RGB to take with me and watch anytime! I love technology. :D

The price drop is pretty much universal, as they try and flush their stock prior to any new pressings this year or next year.

It has to be remembered that iTunes isn’t simply for iPods, but also for Apple TV – and some people are fine with five bucks for a digital copy, versus ripping a DVD.

Was going to purchase for the sale price. I think it was still on sale. However, I had to change my account info. When I finished and checked GB’s through iTunes, it was no longer on sale. I’ll try to refresh or something. As of 3:55 ET, Ghostbusters is $9.99 USD, just like Ghostbusters II.

  8. castewar says:

Not a messageboard. Please avail yourself of Google and the knowledge that there is a way to rip DVDs into iPod format. Thanks.

  9. @ AJ Quick – Your local hardware store sells DVDs?!? All mine sells are hammers, nails, and the usual stuff :-)
