While YouTube has been partnered with Sony’s Crackle online content arm for a few months now, the special, one-week YouTube promotion has sparked a lot of interest amoung studios, who are now pondering the viability of renting or selling movies through YouTube directly to customers – the reason for this deep thinking?

680,000 viewers in a single week.
