And who wouldn’t – you gutter-minded perv, you.
James Mundy, design artist-for-hire, has posted a series of concept art, including a hand-crafted model, for a Ghostbusters Ecto-3 – a futuristic concept built onto a Hummer chassis. While the vehicle is decaled for a third movie, it is just wishful thinking – beautiful, boxy, aggressive, ghost-bustin’ wishful thinking.

I remember seeing these way back on GBFans. I wonder why it took him this long to re-post them.

It looks like he posted them on an internet-based designer portfolio site, and that got picked up by a couple of sites, and then Google picked it up while scouring, while the GBFans posting back in May was overlooked.
Ooohh. I see. That makes sense, then.
what junk !!!!!!!!!!
BOOOOOOO…Ecto-1 is perfect the way it is,especially since being restored…if they start changing the car ya know nothing would be sacred for a 3rd movie.
That looks horrible. You cant change the equipment that they have always used. I even dont care for the extreme ghostbuster proton packs. Just look stupid. There is no need to update everything.
Easy now – it’s a design project, an experiment, not Ghosthead Wish Fulfillment. It’s a bit of talent and hard work to create a model from scratch. You appreciating the effort will not somehow ensure the truck magically appears in a movie or something.
Hummers are fine for Military and what not but an old ambulance/hearse is the only vehicle fit for Ghostbusting
A new Ecto would be cool. But something really different. A hummer is such an overused “kicking ass” vehicle. Find a vehicle that really stands out. Maybe even overhaul the Ecto-1 and give it a complete face lift.
it would make sense to have the newbies use something newer.
ecto-1 should still be used, but only by the original Ghosbusters, I’d be a little upset to see a bunch of newbies using the ecto-1.
