Steve Johnson’s new episode of Rubber Rules, Get Slimed part 1 is now online, and you can see 4 minutes of Steve talking about how he got involved in Ghostbusters and the work he did, including Slimer (note the Amazon exclusive Slimer statue he sculpted, next to him.)

Thanks, Kevin and Ryan!

    castewar… GB… not GB2. :-)

matthew…. no, it’s part of a series of videos called RUBBER RULES being produced by steve & pals. they’ll be hitting a lot of movies from steve’s career… classics AND unproduced, like his animatronic hulk and nic cage superman suit.

You’re right – I posted it in the wee hours, and I had those other behind-the-scenes videos on my mind, which were the GB2 slimer stuff.

I highly recommend that everyone takes the time to subscribe to Steve’s channel on YouTube- he regularly posts videos like these.

Thanks, Steve. We really do appreciate all of the work that everyone put into GHOSTBUSTERS, from a fan’s perspective. The work you guys have done is virtually unforgettable and I know I’m going to hand down my DVDs of the movie and cartoon to my kids and hopefully it won’t be lost. You know, we see so many movies come out each year and it’s getting darker and more CGI and, to a degree, de-ttached from what is fun. I always hesitate when my wife says let’s go see a movie, because after seeing the work and effort you guys put into movie-making, I’d rather save my dollars; if a new GB movie comes to theatres, I don’t even know if I have the heart to see it. I really don’t know if I have it in me, because I have so many fears of it not being a good credit to the first film, of it not paying the right respect to what you guys have done. Thank you.
