Egon’s been on them ‘roids again.
*sigh* Yet another release I won’t get because it’ll be sold out while I’m at work. With these, He-Man, Wonder Twins….can anyone tell me why Mattel doesn’t do non-refundable pre-orders so we all get a figure, and some of us not have to deal w/ eBay scalpers in the future? God I hate this stupid system of theirs. Every release they leave money on the table by doing it this way.
@John Really, the only one that sold out quickly Ghostbusters-wise was Egon. Other than that, the 12″ and 6″ Ray are still available on the site to buy. I think Winston will be about the same.

You might be lucky this time because the ray stanz 6″ figure was available for a good few days after the release day and i think the 12″ is still available now.
I do agree though, it would be nice to pre-order them for peace of mind.
I agree with Ryan,i waited a day or two and feared the worst but luckily even with Ray I was able to get both 12 and 6inch styles of Ray
I checked the site two days ago and they were both still on sale.
Click the link above. 6″ Ray is “Currently Unavailable” and 6″ Egon is “Sold Out”. I did assume Ghostbusters would sell out before I’d get home each day they went on sale. After seeing the problems w/ He-Man and the Wonder Twins. So I’ll definitely give Winston a look tonight, but I still say there’s a better, more common sense way of doing this that not only lets more collector’s have a figure, but makes Mattel more money….unless they secretly make a X number of figures that will give them a profit and love the eBay scalpers rushing in. Do a pre-order and I guess scalpers would be less likely to bite. I wouldn’t be surprised. *shrug*
Dude, The 6 inch Ray was available for about 1 and a half months. It finally became unavailable not too long ago. You should be fine.

MattyCollector needs to get a new server, their current one sucks. I kept getting a 404 Error message anded ended up ordering twice. Just tried to cancel one of the orders so we will see how that goes.

Have to remember though the 6″ Egon was first offered at comicom. Im sure they pre sold a ton of the figures before they hit the matty site. Thus the small amount of figures available. Both Ray figures lasted well over a month. I ordered winston. Figure I wuuld wait til later to get the 12″ Egon.
It took me about ten minutes to finally get their site to work. I kept getting the 404 error. Once I was finally able to get the 2 figures into my cart, the site wouldn’t allow me to sign in. Once it finally allowed me to sign in, I kept getting errors when I tried to submit my order. Luckily, it finally went through. Even more luckily, if that makes sense, I only got charged once. One thing I did notice this time around, I got charged $5 for tax. Two months ago I paid $88.xx for the two figures, this time it was $93.xx, not a big deal, just an observation.
Again, I hope (pessimistically) that they get Venkman right, and have his pant legs UNTUCKED. You’ll notice in the films he never tucks his pant in. If anything, that’s give us a figure that’s not identical to the others.

In the IDW Comic “Ghostbusters: The Other Side” They actually make a comment about Venkman not tucking in his pants legs.
Is anyone actually afraid these will sell out quickly? The 6″ Ray lasted for over a month, and the 12″ Ray is STILL available. Take your time in ordering these figures, people. They’re not exactly in high demand.
