A forum admin at Atari has started a thread seeking information about the various issues existing in Ghostbusters: The Video Game – that is to say, they know the issues, they need more details about those issues. Basically, gathering as much info as possible to aid in debugging.
They haven’t sworn an update is coming, but this is definitely a good first step. Maybe petitions can work?
Thanks to RedVirtue over at GBFans.com for the heads up.

Why no support for the PC version?
How about some downloadable content!
Yeah, I hope it includes some DLC.
A GB costume for XBL avatars would rule all.
I’m going to be 100% realistic.. GB:TVG obviously did ‘alright’ as far as a game goes, but in the video game realm, it was no blockbuster (as much as I wish it could have been). But for an out of date franchise, with no movie attached to it, it did good.
I’ll never expect any DLC (let’s face it, no talent would be involved making it very difficult) and as far as the X360 version goes, I don’t have that many complaints (although I wish the save system was different, I hate having only one save file).
HOWEVER, a Ghostbusters uniform for my avatar, PLEASE, give me that! lol
Costumes for the avatars I agree would rule all. A better game altogether would be great too. Sure this is the greatest GB game we could of hoped for, but it seems like there is so much missing. The ability to drive the ecto would of been a great addition to the game play(escort missions are outdated in video games) as well as maybe even being able to roam the city. Even more destructible environments would of been cool. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy the game cause I very well did and to me its the closest to a third movie that will exist, I’m just saying that for the time it came out in the gaming industry, there could of been so much more to it then what seemed like a rushed and very linear game with some issues.
All I think we are entitled to are our fixed achievements. I’m not gonna go on their message board and whine about DLC and not driving the Ecto-1. I want the finished product to work properly. That’s all.
How about online play for the P.C version? Also, an Ecto-1 Driving scene, like the one on the D.S Version…with better controls.

I agree that we are entitled to the achievements at the very least, but there is proof that there were some multiplayer maps that were inexplicably left on the cutting room floor, like Gozer’s temple on the top of Dana Barrett’s apt building, the Sedgewick Hotel, and even the river of slime from the second movie. They all looked great, and definitely would have made the multiplayer a hell of a lot more enjoyable for Ghostbusters fans. Why they were cut, I have no idea. To me, cutting those maps out was asinine.
it is kinda buggy i would like it be fixed.
BUT I WANNA DRIVE THE ECTO-1!!!
GB2 patch, that Game Stop ripped us off about. 2) when you beat the game, you keep your weapons when you re-start!!!!!!!!!
SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree they def ripped us PS3 users off. How can they say they developed the game on PS3 but magically the 360 version is better? Second for DLC which I have no idea why they haven’t tried doing yet with this game (which for god sakes its a god damn gold mine for that) but they could at least throw maybe the real ghostbusters in there. There is so much us GB fans have been waiting for and I do believe we received the cup half full. Although for the record I do play this game like a job and I love it like crazy but come on Atari lets be real here stop being bastards and support this title and not sit here and let us drool at the possibilities this game could produce.
The PS2 game was glitchy, too. Shame no debugged re-release for that, either — ’cause the glitches were a pain, and required restarts. This included stuff like puzzle pieces at Central Park Cemetary disappearing into the scenery and inability to retrieve it. Similarly, earlier in the game at the museum, one of the balls for the hoops literally disappeared (Thankfully, resliming it worked, but still…)
Yes a Sequel!!!!! At the rate things are going for a third film and based on all the chatter we’ve heard i’d much rather see a sequel to the game than the current known vision of a third movie…
At the very least, additional missions, perhaps the Macy’s parade level that was canned could finally be released?
#1 There are two achievements you can’t unlock, “Payday!” and “No job to big”.
#2 Sometimes while playing the online Campaign level the Library in Survival, wave 7 is never ending (Super fun but still a bug)
#3 Sometimes while playing online your proton stream will shoot straight up in the air.
#4 When two people are using the Shockblast at the same time the host or one of the people using the Shockblast will freeze.
Ghostbusters 2 The video game maybe Co-op please.
Oh yeah, the parade! Please add that!
DLC, and more DLC!
The parade mission, extra characters (Janine, Slimer, Peck, Ilyssa as possible playable characters, may it be online &/or replaying missions)
SEQUEL!
Like said above, how the rumors have been developing for GB3, I’d think I’d rather see a VG sequel. Maybe with Co-Op, free roam, small misions on the side, driving Ecto, the ability to create your own player caracteristics (like sports games).
And please fix the bug with the GB2 uniform patch that it looks like one patch is sewn over the other one.
Parade. Parade. Parade. Out of sequence or not, I dont care, I just want more GB action.
I hope they give us some extra levelss to play, and that they make the mulitplayer modes offline, and possible with split screen or single player as a kind of challenge mode. And I know I would be asking the world of them but wouldnt it be awesome if they turned GB 1&2 into games and let us play through them adding in the parts the movies themselves would not have had time for, of course i’m not asking for this to be in the update, it’s just an idea/dream of mine, they wouldnt have to get them to do much more voicework the could just use what was from the movies and existing game.
Good idea
I think some easy DLC would be the pre-order bonuses from gamestop etc. It is already made, and I know I’d pay a couple bucks for it.
i just wish the points system in the xb0x 360 live version would work, mines been frozen since i’ve had it
Debugging the game and some DLC would be great… and some jumpsuits or proton pack for the XBL avatar would be awesome!!
Fix bugs.
DLC! – New multiplayer maps, possible new levels for singleplayer.
A screen which shows more stats, such as which maps you have completed successfully in multiplayer.
More advanced options for matching up people on multiplayer. You should be able to filter out people who are at a much lower rank than you are.
It’s very exciting, the last update by Implausible hints that talks are going on between Atari and the developers to organise more work on the game, remember TRI are doing other games, so a schedule, resources will need to be sorted out, and Threewave will need to be included in that.
This is definately a good sign, hopefully they get the picture that there is a large interest in getting these problems fixed (and that there ARE problems), who knows… could lead to DLC too, but I’m sure I echo many people’s view that fixing the achievements, the payday Trophy and other bugs that affect the gameplay of the main product is the priority, hopefully that will lead to DLC as well.
I’d plunk down more cash for a few new single-player levels and a new multiplayer map or two… the Sedgewick Hotel beckons for multiplayer madness…

Please Atari. Make a second Ghostbusters game.
I remember reading one of the Terminal Reality IGN blogs that not only they are interested in making more GB games, but they would like to make one based on The Real Ghostbusters cartoon.
Terminal Reality might be interested in making it, but Atari isn’t interested in paying for it. And they hold the license for the time being (nobody knows how long was agree upon.)
