Jedward announce album tracks – Ghostbusters included

Tweens and sexually confident men rejoice – Jedward announced the track listings for their upcoming album and it will in fact include their live show fan favourite, Ghostbusters. Of course it is included – it’s not like they have anything to replace it with.

The album will feature the Irish duo’s number two single ‘Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)’ and their new single, a cover of Blink-182’s ‘All The Small Things’.

Other tracks include songs performed during the X Factor live finals such as ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Rock DJ’.

The album has been produced Nigel Wright, “famed for his work with Take That, Boyzone as well as his role as musical director of The X Factor since 2004.”

Jedward release Planet Jedward the week after ‘All The Small Things’ on July 26.

Next best thing to being in Florida in ’92

Imagine if you could get to see the entire Ghostbusters Spooktacular nearly 15 years after Universal Studios Florida closed it down. Well, maybe you can, after a fashion…

Being in the wrong country and being of the wrong age, I never got to see the Ghostbusters Spooktacular at Universal Studios Florida. I heard a lot about it and there are many fans who recall their visits fondly, but I missed it, as did many others, I’m sure. So I thought I’d try something – using the small handful of videos of the show, which can be found on YouTube, I was able to stitch together an entire run of the show. It’s not great video or audio in places, but the availability of a couple of Universal promotional videos allowed for a unique version of the show, not unlike watching a stage play on PBS. I apologize in advance for the sight and sound quality in places, but I hope those of you that never got to attend to show will find this illuminating and I hope that those of you that did get to attend find it reminiscent of your visit.

In case you’re wondering, yes, I am currently working on a version of the second version of the show. In time, I might even attempt the final version of the Ghostbusters at Universal Studios, their Great Fright Way show, which ran outside until 2005.

GBNH & GB SLC Crossover Fan-film!

There are certain things you can consider milestones in a fandom. The creation of fan-films is one. Another is when fan-films reach a near-cinematic level of content, as with Return of the Ghostbusters. And then you start to have cross-overs.

The Ghostbusters of New Hampshire and Ghostbusters Salt Lake City have recently revealed that they are working on a cross-over film together! And you won’t have to wait long to see the finish film, entitled GBNH: Spilled Milk, as they are looking at finishing and releasing it before the Summer is out.

If you want to follow production and progress, you can check out their thread at GBFans. And just for giggles, they sent a handful of photos.

Terminal Reality announces video game patch is undergoing certification!

Terminal Reality posted this today on their Facebook page;

“Terminal Reality is pleased (and relieved!) to announce that a patch for Multiplayer Achievements glitches in Ghostbusters: The Video Game has been completed and tested. It’s currently awaiting approval for distribution, which is likely to coincide with the Xbox 360 firmware update this Fall. The Ghostbusters team would like to thank everyone who has continued in their support of our studio and games.”

On behalf of everyone with a lick of sense about what it takes to patch a console game, under the best of circumstances, let alone a year after release while working on follow-up projects, a big thanks to the gang at Terminal Reality for making it happen.

And thanks to Adam and Jacob for the heads up!
