[UPDATE] Think Geek has an official website for the marshmallows – nothing fancy, but it’s nice to see. You can also like the marshmallows on Facebook! Thanks to Joseph for the heads up!

You’ve always wanted them. Now you can have them. Omni Consumer Products, makers of licensed, defictionalized, reverse branded products (meaning, they take fake products and produce the real thing, such as Sex Panther cologne, from Anchorman) are offering Stay Puft Caffeinated Gourmet Marshmallows.

16 squared marshmallows, spiked with caffeine (not sure why, but ok) come in a nice, attractive collectors box. While it’s not quite as awesome as having a bag of marshmallows, like in the movie, it is still awesome in it’s own way. I mean, who here thought someone would actually produce actual Stay Puft marshmallows?

You can order them through Think Geek for $19.99. Big big thanks to Lucas for the heads up!

* Delicious gourmet marshmallows.
* Licensed Ghostbusters product.
* Box is rubbery with a marshmallow feel, for fun after you eat all the mallows.
* 16 square-ish mallows per box.
* Caffeine Content: A bit over 100mg per piece!
* Net Wt.: 6.25 oz
* Box Dimensions: 7″ x 4″ x 2.5″

    OH YES!!!

  2. Joey says:

    I am so gonna order them

  3. Gbmickey says:

    Went to get mine… Couldn’t… Too bad they don’t ship internationally… Hope someone else starts selling them.

  4. Buster Brad says:

    Great idea and love the box, but $20.00 is a little steep for
    marshmallows. It is a unique item for major collectors though and the price should keep them rare.

  5. The Stiff says:

    Great box, wondering why they decided to make them caffeinated? We need more energy?

    I’ll probably buy a couple boxes.

  6. Jason says:

    Just purchased two boxes! Can’t wait to try ‘em!

  7. Ryan says:

    I think $19.99 for a little box of marshmallows is pretty steep. I think I can live without them.

  8. Jon rez says:

    Definetly buying a couple boxes.

  9. Joseph Mays says:

    They have their own website: http://www.staypuftmarshmallows.com/

    Not much to it but it’s there. Adding them to cart from the site redirects you to them on Think Geek.

  10. Ash says:

    2 Boxes ordered to Australia :D

  11. Reggie says:

    How did you get them sent to Australia Ash? It says they don’t deliver outside North America. Any idea on how to get a box shipped to the UK :)

  12. Gbmickey says:

    That’s what I’m trying to find out Reggie… The best way is to have them sent to someone you know in the US and then have that person send them to you… Any more ideas? Maybe someone will start selling them on ebay soon.

  13. I like how people complain about me thinking that $50 is too much for four little six-inch figures, yet go on to complain that $20 is too much for a box of 16 marshmallows, or that $400 is too much for an inaccurate low-detailed light-up sign (ok, that one is most definitely true). Let’s face it, most, if not all, of the GB stuff that’s coming out these days is overpriced. Although, that could be said about all of the stuff targeted to fans of anything.

    I’m actually at odds about how I feel about these marshmallows. Yes, that’s a high price for 16 marshmallows. We all could get them cheaper at out local supermarkets. Yes, no one needs caffeinated marshmallows. (Why not put out regular ones?)

    What it really boils down to is the box, since that’s what you’re buying here (again, if you want marshmallows, you’d buy them from your local store). Unfortunately, ThinkGeek hasn’t done a good job in showing us the box. At most, we can see the front, top, and left. We don’t know what’s on the bottom, right, or back. Though judging by how plain the other sides of the box are, I wouldn’t expect very much from the unseen sides.

    If I were to base my decision solely on what we’re seeing in the picture, I’d have to give it a pass. The box is just too damn plain for it to be a worthy collectible. I would only accept “plain” packaging if it were an exact replica of the BAG seen in the movie.

    Omni Consumer Products, makers of licensed, defictionalized, reverse branded products (meaning, they take fake products and produce the real thing.

    The irony in that is that Omni Consumer Products is the fictitious mega-corporation seen in the Robo-Cop movies and TV shows. So you have a real company, named after a fictitious company from a movie, making real versions of fictitious products from movies and TV shows.

    Chris – FYI: In the update text, you have the link to the official site (http://www.staypuftmarshmallows.com) pointing to the Facebook page. Just thought you’d like to know in case you want to fix it.

  14. Reggie says:

    I don’t know anyone in the US to send them to me. The only problem with ebay is the seller will hike up the price and at $19.99 it’s expensive enough as it is. I need this in my life (especially the box) :(

  15. Gbmickey says:

    They’re outta stock… Damn it.

  16. Jon rez says:

    ……..of course everything ghostbusters is gonna be overpriced…..we b*tched and wined for people to give into our wanton needs.this stuff is aim at a specific group of people……..hence the limited availibility of most of these products. I ordered my 2 boxes of movie “un-authentic” marshmallows and i will put these in my coffee in the morning before i go to work. When i m done i will set the boxes next to the other boxes of ghostbusters stuff i have……when the bag of marshmallows comes out…..well i guess i m gonna have to eat them quick and find a stick and make a flag out of my empty bag?

  17. Logo Lou says:

    Maybe people just want to disagree with you Paul….

    y’know, cause you’re a dick.

  18. Ash says:

    There are websites out there that will place an order for you and deliver it themselves (in exchange for a small commission)…

  19. Bryan says:

    Was just on live chat with ThinkGeek tech support but lost the connection. At least I did get that my order was shipping out today but that’s been about a week since I purchased them so…. I’m not thrilled about the turnaround time on this order. I sort of needed those to be here for an event I’m doing on Friday. Long story short, at least one of us has now been told it’s shipping. Let’s see how everyone else’s order does.

  20. Jon rez says:

    My email said i ll received mine friday sept 3rd. I talked on the phone with a cool guy from thinkgeek.com……..he actually said to me that he couldnt belive how many ghostbusters fans their still are and that the marshmallows sold out in a week…….veey cool that different factions of tge world are reconizing.

  21. Jon rez says:

    Sorry bout the bad spelling since i m typing on an ipod touch.

  22. Bryan says:

    Lordgilpin over on GBfans just received his and posted a picture of them. They’re a joke. The box is so small that he held out his hand, put it in his palm and there was plenty of handspace left over. It barely cleared his fingertips. The promotional picture seen at the top of this article must have been taken with a jockey as the model.

    Expensive licensed product or not, there’s no way these are worth $20 and now I regret that I bought 3 boxes of them. F…..

  23. Reggie says:

    If you’re selling one at a reasonable price Bryan I’ll take one off your hands :)

  24. Jon rez says:

    The size was on the desription of the website…….

  25. Jon rez says:

    Wow that made sense go ahead and bash me for my horrible spelling and english. The discription has the size of the box on the website.

  26. Bryan says:

    That does it. Everyone crowd around Jon rez and get a stick. We’ll beat until he spells right from an iPod Touch! GET HIM!

    Everyone? I just got my 3 boxes of the marshmallows today! These are NOT as tiny as described on that GBfans post. In fact they’re actually quite reasonable and ( given the licensing fee that has to be paid ) kind of reasonable for what you get. Disagree? Go to the store and buy regular ones at a regular price. Sorry but what Paul said above really sums it up. I don’t know how they taste and really don’t care. The point isn’t to eat them IMHO anyhow.

    The box is much better than I expected. I can’t really post pics here but if you can see this http://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=21594&p=260888#p260888 then you can see my pics of them.

    Would I spend $60 for that all over again? No, not really. Was it a good one-time novelty for the franchise? Sure.

  27. castewar says:

    Niiiice. Those back orders can’t be filled fast enough for me.

    Maybe people just want to disagree with you Paul….

    y’know, cause you’re a dick.

    I certainly hope that’s sarcasm, Lou. Otherwise, I’m not the one being a dick.

  29. Bryan

    Thanks for posting those pictures, though I wish you would have shown the back of the box, too.

    The boxes look even more plain than I first thought. I swear, it looks like a unofficial design one of us fans could whip up. I take that back, us fans could definitely do something better than that.

  30. Jon rez says:

    Lol @ bryan. Your right it pretty much a one time novelty. I have mine and i m happy……am i gonna run back and get more no. But i m happy with what i have. By the way the marshmallows are actually tasty!!………i laughed when i saw stay puft baked alaska recipe on the back…..its just a cute novelty for us ghost heads :)
