After two years and over 60 interviews, the documentary we’ve all been waiting for is nearly complete. And to show just how much goodness there is in the final film, a full trailer is now online for Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters. The whole thing will blow your mind, but in particular pay attention to the live performance from the Busboys that accompanies the trailer. And keep an eye on the transitional magazines for funny little details.
Those of you attending the Horror Hound Weekend in November (in Cincinnati), you will have an opportunity to see a rough ten minutes of the film, as I understand it, as the director, Anthony Bueno is nearing completion on the film (only a couple more interviews left to do!)
Be sure to show your support for the film by following it on Facebook (if you’re not already.)
Over two years in the making, this is the definitive documentary on the Ghostbusters films. ‘Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters’ delves deep into all the creative processes that brought these films to life. With interviews of cast and crew, some of which have never been put on tape before, it promises to satisfy both fan and filmmaker alike.

Unrelated but check out this odd GB item I just discovered:

Looks great! Can’t wait to see it.
Chris, take a careful look at the “National Enquirer” slide…
heeheehee
The trailer alone deserves a standing ovation!
Holy crap guys. This looks fantastic. Can’t wait to see the final product!
Ha ha, thought you might dig it! A nod from one fella to another. Success.
If you guys put this on DVD I will pay money for it. No questions asked.
Where are Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray?
Good question.
Breathtakingly Beautiful!
I can’t wait for the final film. Hopefully Sony will see fit to put it out with both films in a super-deluxe Blu-Ray double feature pack, as well as in yet another DVD 2-pack.
Universal put the An American Werewolf In London doc that Anthony Bueno worked on in the Blu and DVD “Full Moon Edition” releases. So maybe Sony will take the hint.
And now for our Meaningless Nit-Pick of the Day (TM) to the filmmakers:
You misspelled Columbia. You know, the nice guys who you hope don’t sue the bonobo-feces out of you for making this.
Simple typo.
As for suing them though, that’s unlikely to happen – the only thing they can go after them for is the use of the logos, and given the subject of the film, they have a half-decent fair-use argument on the use of those image. Everything else, as far as I know is from their own interviews, or are materials loaned by the interviewed individuals (like the video of the tub blob test in the effects studio.)
Extremely, extremely cool. I’m with Ghostbuster87 on this one. Money down, no questions asked. Just say where & when available and I’m on it.
what i would love to see is for extended versions
of both films re’released and in 3d and for to do
a 2 disc special editions of both films in 2 disc
format where disc 1 the main feature and disc 2
special features with a collectable roof top of
gozers temple to compliment it and everything included
like featurettes commentaries music videos trailers/
tv spots scene galleries the works it will be perfect
gift for a gb fan though.

Shouldn’t reviewers have a better mastery over spelling and grammar than that?
