In a pinch, a ghosthead can put up a poster or even these inexpensive (in every sense of the word) decorations from Rubies (no-ghost and Slimer.)

But a serious ghosthead with serious skills can come up with some serious decorations.

Check out this amazing Slimer wall sculpture that Jason Kisner has made. Latex rubber, and individual teeth (all decked out with black-light paint), this bad-ass display is 33″ (the arms alone are each 18″ long)! And he has his own slime “dripping” down the wall.

Jason gave me a sneak-peak at his latest project, and it’s a doozy – hopefully we can show you more about it later. In the meantime, oogle these pics of Slimer he sent.

    Seriously!

All kidding aside, great job, Jason on your slimerific creation.

You’re not kidding about being inexpensive in every sense of the word. I don’t own the Rubies decorations, but all four reviews on Amazon for the No Ghost are 1 Star (most negative). Here are a sampling of comments from the four reviews:

    * Matt R.: “It looks as though a mentally challenged chimp painted this thing. There were paint streaks all over it, and my favorite part, they dripped paint all over it as well. The plastic was flimsy and cracked as well. Needless to say, I only had this thing for about five minutes before it was packed back up with a return shipping label attached to it.”

    * Joseph W. Mays: “Extremely cheap plastic that is very thin and warped easily, not too mention multiple cracks and puncture holes. The red paint looks as though it was applied by a child. Awful quality all around.”

    * DelaWhere: “The shape itself is ok but the plastic is very thin and tears/punctures easily. The paint on it is horrible. Also, not shown in the picture is a plastic tab (part of the mold) on the left side of the head for hanging. I would not recomend buying this product. I would have been happier buying an unpainted piece at a much cheaper price for a do it yourself project.”

    * Slimenuttz: “It was warped made out of plastic styrene thinner then a for sale sign the red looked like someone took a sharpie marker and baddly colored it.”

So, yeah, I think do-it-yourself is the way to go at the moment.
