Maryland ghostheads – Double-A team having Ghostbusters night, May 13th
If you’re a fan of Ghostbusters and baseball, the Bowie Baysox (the farm league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) are having a Ghostbusters night. The Baltimore Ghostbusters will be on hand, scenes from the movie will be played on the stadium big screen, and there will be a number of contest and events for attendees… plus a baseball game to watch!
The Bowie Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, have scheduled Ghostbusters Night for May 13 at Prince George’s Stadium.
The team said it will “challenge the paranormal” during a night featuring ghostbusters running around the stadium, movie clips on the stadium video board, on-field promotions and postgame fireworks.
“We have seen a number of unexpected events at the stadium,” said team promotions manager Chris Rogers. “Fielders missing balls that should be fielded for easy outs, balls flying out of the stadium that should stay in. We thought it was best to bring in the professional ghostbusters.”
Rogers said, throughout the game, members of the Baltimore Ghostbusters will “investigate paranormal phenomenons” and pose for pictures with fans. Fans can also participate in “Peter Venkman’s Table-Clearing Challenge” and other feats of skill based on the movies.
The team will play the Akron Aeros at 7:05 p.m.
