That took awhile – remember when we first talked about the Ghostbusters themed slot machine from International Game Technology? Well, it’s ready to go – look for it in a casino near you.

Best part of the official product page’s content is that they put Ernie in a blue lab-coat in order to match the other guys. In fact, Winston is well represented throughout the product. Which is nice.
Big thanks to JD Raimer for the heads up that the product out!

So Dan provided his voice for this? Cool.
Wow, this is so cool!
…where the hell is the GB theme song?!
Playing this in a casino won’t be enough. I NEED THIS IN MY HOUSE!
That’s an expensive bit of licensing, Mike, particularly after they’re paying likeness rights already.
love the “ready to believe you” Winston mock up, it looks so weird.
(…and I for one welcome anything Ghostbusters w/o the theme song blaring from it…I kinda have a love/hate relationship with that thing..)
this reminds me of how addicted i was to playing the gb pachinko in japan
so is this how they are funding gb3?
The credits list Ray Parker Jr.’s theme, so perhaps it is included afterall?
The first seven seconds of the video appear to be set to music from the video game. (Was this music part of the movie score?)
Did any one notice the ready to believe you Winston?
I missed that, Steven. They probably save it for big wins or something, rather than play it constantly.
Curious that Bill will drag his feet on toys likenesses, but this crap he signs off quick.
Actually it makes sense – likeness rights often include approval of the representation. These are all photos or photo-based art. It looks exactly like him. An action figure is a from-scratch sculpt (for example) or a video game 3D model – actors want to opportunity to say, “this looks goofy, I look stupid, no way.”
I played this over the weekend at Silver Legacy casino in Reno. It was insanely awesome. I was surprised to see Murray’s likeness on the game itself. There was a line to play it so obviously there’s still non-ghosthead interest in the franchise.
I dunno…just something sleazy about having Ghostbusters associated with gambling. I didn’t like it when Back to the Future had a slot machine either several years ago.
30 credawhat with a side’o who? This would be awesome except that it’s one of the slot machines that you have no idea what’s going on until after it’s taken your 20 bucks…
I am so excited for this. I work in a casino and I’ve been telling our slot people about it for months, trying to get them to lease one of these bad boys.
I do know what you mean, Dan. I have a similar reaction to things like Star Wars scratch cards… which I’m sure they’ve considered for Ghostbusters.
But casinos are going to be filled with gamblers, people are going to love scratch cards – they might as well have cool options.
“This university will no longer continue any funding for any of your group’s activities. “
Well, to be fair, they’re using the Ghostbusters not the Real Ghostbusters… That would really be crossing a line.
could have made slimer sound better
“Ghostly appa-RATIONS”?! How much did they pay this boob?
Here’s the link to the official page, though everything on it is shown above:

Anyway, the machine looks really cool. I’d love to own one
Crap, did I forgot to include the product link?
“ghostly ABER-rations” It’s spelled correctly. And he probably makes good money.
How does one purchase one of these new ghostbuster machines?
Ralph – you would have to contact IGT, though the pricing is probably very high. These machines are designed to make casino’s hundreds of thousands of dollars – and that’s if they are sold. It’s possible (I’m not that familiar with the gambling machine industry) that they lease them. You’re second option is to contact the casino and see what the deal is, and if they own the machine, see if they would be willing to consider selling to you once they stop using the machine (though that could take years and years.)
