The Ecto-1a is the second legendary modified 1959 Cadillac used by the Ghostbusters in the 1989 movie “Ghostbusters II”. This car was an updated version of the Ecto-1 and was equipped with more accessories and technician equipment. On the vehicle’s roof, two electronic billboards were added, one on each side, broadcasting Ghostbusters advertisements! Their logo was also updated on this vehicle. Ready to live an incredible experience thanks to this car collection?!

Stay Tuned!

I can’t wait for these and I’m REALLY excited we’ll finally get an Ecto 1A!

  2. Great news!! Let´s wait for updates.

  3. Jonathan says:

Nobody else is excited about this? I guess I’m one of the few who likes the Ecto-1A more than the Ecto-1. This is great news for me at least!!

  4. Logo Lou says:

I’m excited, just waiting for some pictures.

  5. Clay (ShadowSt) says:

Me too! Looking forward to the pictures.

  6. Jonathan says:

Yeah, I’m a little worried this will either get scrapped or take forever to happen…the later wouldn’t be that bad, but the link seems a little tentative…no photos, no release date, whuuu? Are they gonna put their money where their mouth is or not??

  7. Jonathan says:

Oh, and didn’t ERTL make a 1:18 Ecto-1? I know they also made a 1:21 or 1:2?, or I guess some websites (like Amazon?) had it mis-described in the item title/listing? (I don’t think the ERTL is still on amazon’s website, could be wrong, but it’s been discontinued for awhile now, so unless someone is offering it for sale, I doubt Amazon would have the listing available via their search engine).

ertl made a “1:18″ scale.. but it turned out to be actually 1:21 scale, but the ecto1 is so huge it was the same length as most 1:18 cars.

The new one being done by hot wheels IS 1:18 scale from what I have seen and is much more accurate.
