After ABC’s much-hyped, but less than impressive “Ghostbusters” Halloween episode of Castle (in the end, it turned out to be a one-liner, no cameo), CBS snuck this bit of awesome by us on last night’s episode of How I Met Your Mother. heheh. That just reminded me of Egon attacking Peck. He’s all, “Your mother!” and…. never mind, watch the clip.

The episode, as a whole, is not a bad one, though if you haven’t been watching from previous seasons, you might not be able to make sense of all of the character interactions, but like most episodes, it’s self contained.

Big big thanks to Clay for the heads up on this one.

    Alyson Hannigan still looking good.

That is what they needed in Castle.

So great! Thanks for the clip. Funny every time I watch it.

Oh, and as it turns out, William Atherton DID appear as an important, single episode character in Castle… but it was 3 episodes before “Demons”, in an episode entitled “Head Case” (completely forgot to write-in about this).

No GB references, but it’s pretty good, and it was fun to watch Atherton act in one of my favorite shows.

Unfortunately, you can see the whole thing here, but only if you have Hulu+ (booooooo…):

Hahaha! Fantastic! Loved it! Gotta love Ernie… always has been, and still is, a class-act! At the risk of risking… risk, some other cast members may want to learn some “humanity” from the man! Thank you, that is all!

    go to 10:20 mark

I actually got to meet Erine this past month at Horror Hound and he told me he taped this on Friday the day before the convention. I asked him what his role on the show was and he wouldn’t tell me, but he said I would like it.

My wife and I have watched this show from the very begining and I figured it would of been on in Decemeber, but not so soon. Needless to say my wife rolled her eyes at 1st, but got a chuckle out of it.

Not HIMYM’s first GB ref: there was an episode where child-phobic Robin encounters her her date’s kid the morning after. She calls Lily to say “It’s right here, Lily. It’s looking at me.”

  12. Bryan says:

Ah, now I know what they wanted. We were asked to loan our Ecto for ( as it was described to us ) “something for CBS featuring a Ghostbuster” but ours was in the shop for some engine work. Sean’s wasn’t available because he was at his wedding, and for some reason the Sony one wasn’t an option. Cool scene, but it makes more sense to have an ambulance than an Ectomobile. ( Besides, I’m not sure if that would have been a legal issue for CBS w/o permission from Sony. )

  13. Johntheone says:

Haha this is hilarious, but it sounded like the audience didn’t really get it… Where the hell did they find that caddy in that pristine condition?

  14. Lisa Marie says:

Ernie looks like he was wearing his same suit from the interview scene in GB1, very nice little detail!

Don’t tell me the fire house is really for sale!!??
