[Via: GBnews] Check out the upcoming covers for Ghostbusters monthly issues #5 & #8!
Nick Runge’s GHOSTBUSTERS #5 Cover B pays homage to a Blondie album cover:
Meanwhile Dan Schoening’s GHOSTBUSTERS #8 Cover A promises a very Egon-centered issue (out in April):
Also be sure to listen to Earth Station One‘s recent interview with Erik Burnham (begins at 00:35:35). Lots of great insight to the monthly comic series!

Great interview Erik!!! And as someone who knows nothing about Dr. Who and wants to check it out, where would you suggest I begin?
A good chunk of the relaunched (from 2005) series are on Netflix, if you have that — start with Eccleston’s Doctor and going on down the line would give you a very complete story.
There are plenty of standalone episodes — Christmas episodes, and four one-off movies with Tennant in lieu of a full season.
I started with a few eps of the Eccleston series (9th Doctor) and then skipped ahead to the Christmas Invasion, moved through all of Tennant’s 10th Doctor, the first episode of Matt Smith’s 11th (The Eleventh Hour) back to catch up with the rest of Eccleston, and then I was able to get my hands on the entirety of Smith’s first full series.
(And I’ve been watching the old stuff as I can find it.)
If you want to try it out with the least baggage, try starting with last year’s 2010 Christmas special and/or the Series 5. It’s a good jumping on point, fun, and Smith is an engaging Doctor. The Eccleston series and Tennant era are tied together a bit more closely — through the showrunner and the character Rose (and her shadow.)
I could give you a good list of episodes, but I’d have to take time to think and suss away from writing Ghostbusters. (: At least I have a future blog post to write. (:
Cool, thanks a lot Erik, I appreciate! I’ve heard really good things about it (especially the newer series and it’s Christmas specials), I’m totally going to Netflix it, I didn’t realize it was on there… And I would certainly never ever ever want to take up any of your GB writing time! :-p Please, keep up the excellent work and thanks again for taking the time to answer
Your ever present connection with your fans is comendable my friend!
This is *slightly* off-topic. But I was wondering if anyone would know of a trust-worthy comics retailer (online or off), which will allow me to subscribe to Ghostbusters monthly, and have it sent directly to me? I never want to miss an issue. But my local comic shop requires at-least FIVE different subscribed titles, and Mid-Town Comics requires TEN !!! I can understand why they do this, ok. But honestly, GB is the only title I want to sub to. And, I simply just can’t afford a bunch of other sub’s to just get my Ghostbusters.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I saw both G-mart and GBFans mentioned recently.
Maybe try Grahm Cracker comics, I’ve heard good things about them.
I get mine subs from scifigenre.com
They haven’t done me wrong yet…
However you guys do it, pre-ordering through shops or online subs helps keep us alive and kicking… so THANK YOU for doing so! (:

What about http://www.grahamcrackers.com?
When you say that Midtown Comics requires 10 titles for a subscription, are you referring to in-store or online at http://www.midtowncomics.com?
