Amazon has listed Ghostbusters Volume 1 – a trade paperback collection of the first issues of the ongoing series by IDW. While there isn’t any mention of which issues are included (either on Amazon or in the Previews comic catalog), the blurb does suggest the first four issues;
Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night? Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic? Have you or any of your family ever seen a spook, specter, or ghost? If the answer is yes, call the professionals! Psychokinetic energy is on the rise again, business is booming for the boys, and Ray is troubled by what could be a prophetic dream. Is this an ill omen of an upcoming apocaplypse, or just a little indigestion?
While the book is suggested at $17.99, Amazon is offering it at $12.10. The book comes out March 20th.
You can also get the collections of IDW’s original Ghostbusters mini-series and one-shots;
Ghostbusters: Haunted Holidays
Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression
Ghostbusters: The Other Side
And if you missed out on the Ghostbusters role in IDW’s giant, inter-franchise zombie crossover (and more importantly, the bits that set up the current monthly series), Amazon is still taking pre-orders on the Infestation hardcover, due January 24th. No word on a trade paperback edition, but the hardcover is $22 (not an outrageous price.)

Erik Burnham and Tristan Jones have talked about it off an on since late November. The forward is written by Brian Clevinger, it has the first four issues, and Jones just announced yesterday that his PCOC material will be on it after all. Also Burnham did say high sales for this trade should help get longer arcs get approved.

The trade paperbacks of Infestation – separated into two volumes – have been available for months now. So you can either buy two softcover books now, or wait and buy one hardcover book.
Cool! I have all of the issues (and variant covers) and I certainly don’t mind dropping $17.99 to support longer story arcs… I like the trades too cuz you can keep your issues in bags and boards and not disturb them while still enjoying the awesome story!!!
