IDW editor/writer/honcho/mench Tom Waltz sent over this teaser image for an upcoming, four-part, Summer event in the monthly Ghostbusters comic. And “event” doesn’t seem to suffice. At a guess, I’m thinking the teaser image will be covers for each of the four parts, but more on that later. According to Waltz, the event kicks off in issue #9 (May according to the image teaser). Stay tuned and don’t forget to ask you local comic shop to bring it in for you!

Somebody just asked Tristan on his FB if IDW has any plans on collecting the old Now Comics RGB series (ala the way they collected the Mirage Turtles books), and apparently if we all wrote the head honchos over there at IDW saying that this is something we’d buy, then it might make a big impact… I’m writing my email in the morning, I urge you all to do the same!
I series love these new comics. VERY well done! and I absolutely love the RGB character “scavenger hunt” snuck into each issue… totally for dweebs like us. Genius!

To clarify, you should probably ASK if it’s possible before mailbombing… I do not condone mailbombing!
Very true Mr. Jones… And I know that you would never condone mail bombing at all. Just hoping that IDW would reprint those RGB books. Some of those old stories are truly hidden gems… But to reiterate, Tristan Jones does not condone mail bombing at all, that was my idea.
You would need to contact both Tony Caputo at http://www.nowcomics.com and the head guys at IDW because neither could make it happen without the other. Tony/NOW owns the materials, IDW currently owns the license.
Scratch that. I’m not sure what NOW owns as this note on their Contact page makes it sound like they don’t even own the actual comic materials.

NOW Comics purchased the right to publish comic books of highly recocognized characters for a finite period of time. All copyrights, trademarks, books and films are the property of the initial intellectual property owners. NOW Comics owns nothing either phyiscal or otherwise.

So it sounds like the ownership just went back to Colimbia/Sony.
Bear in mind while looking into it: the possibility exists that RGB could be considered a separate license from GB in Sony’s eyes, or, alternatively, that they aren’t interested in allowing reprints (or anything from the animated property) at this time.
I’m not saying don’t look into it — just saying to temper expectations in case either of those things come up!
