From the latest Ask DST Blog;
Hello again. I only have one question this time: with the release of the Real Ghostbusters BoxSet #3 is this the end of the Ghostbusters Minimates line, or is there some planned for 2012? As always, thanks for answering my questions. Justin B

DSTChuck: Justin, for now we have no more plans for GB but we’re not ruling out doing more in the future.

  1. Justin says:

    This makes me sad, the Minimates were the only toy line I followed completely and have every one of.

  2. Spengler's Mom says:

    With Mattel cutting back on their 2012 figures (and who knows if they’ll even do a 2013 series…), and now no new minimates this year (and I wanted an Ecto-1 so freakin bad!!!), this has been quite a blow to us…

  3. Spengler's Mom says:

    …and speaking of Mattel, did anyone else that wa enrolled in the 2012 club Ecto not get their Vigo too??? I had waited an waited, then finally sent them an email, which they responded that they would bill me and the figure would ship soon, but still nothing!!!!

    • ForeverYoung says:

      Nothing here either though it’s standard that it takes them a month to get the figure to Canada. Is anyone else in Canada having to wait that long. Seems absurd that people in Europe get figures before I do and we buy them the same day!

  4. ForeverYoung says:

    My kids love them as well. The cost is a little prohibitive for me since I have to import them from the US or pay Previews prices but I would still bite on some new molds.

  5. William B. says:

    Well shit. So much for getting more classic RGB ghosts in Minimate form. The Grundel, The Master of Shadows, Ghostmaster… the list could go on and on. The new RGB line had so much potential, but will never have a chance to live up to it now. I seriously doubt DST will decide to come back with new product next year, no matter what they’re saying. I’d wager the RGB line is done. Sucks.
