Vancouver FanExpo #1 a big success!

The Ghostbusters of British Columbia, with support from the newly minted Victoria chapter, and Proton Charging, set up shop at Vancouver’s first FanExpo and it went amazing! We may lose the inter-city scavenger hunt, as nobody had time to leave the table, for all the people wanting pics, but that’s a good problem to have. The GBs were offering people the chance to get their picture taken wearing a proton pack, by donation to the Variety Club, and the team brought in $450 over the two days! Nice!

    The Venkman mask was a loaner from the Sweatshop Union video – it was made by a local artist – pricetag; $600. As for the Vigo portrait, that’s one of the ILM prop pics used in the movie, so I’m not sure what to tell you – I guess I could scan it some day.

    Troy – That’s Fiona. She was very popular at the expo, wink wink, nudge nudge.

    I have no doubt that Fiona was very popular. She certainly gets my heart a’fluttering, too. A gal who’s into Ghostbusters, is a redhead, AND a Canadian! Is it too early to start applying for Canadian citizenship? Then again, being a American, I could never meet the Canadian politeness requirement :-)
