Print is dead

Well, sheesh.

If you came by late last night or early this morning, you may have noticed PC was down, replaced by a Network Solutions placeholder. That’s because my renewal was due last Wednesday and I plum forgot. It’s not their fault, they did remind me. A lot. I’ve just been preoccupied. It’s all good now.

As an aside however, as I’ve been rooting around in my account info, I discovered that according to the records, as of last Wednesday, Protoncharging.com has existed for 7 years. Which by extension means that Q2, 2006, Proton Charging will have been around for 10 years.

Ten.

Years.

The question then, is how does a website celebrate 10 years online? I have a few things I’ve been meaning to do; I’ll probably get around to them, possibly as part of some half-assed celebration. Put for fun, I’ll put the question to you, dear reader. What do you think PC should do to mark the occasion?

Do you still have the first page ever somewhere? That’d be good to see.

I’d say do a series of the top headlines etc…maybe show what the page looked like on the current date 10, 9, 8, 7, etc years ago too. A timeline? The possibilties are limitless!

Perhaps post the Filmation Ghostbusters theme song in MP3 finally? ;) Pretty Please?

How about an all new section like Rebelscum.com has. An GB collectibles gallery where we can submit pics of our private collections? It’d be cool to see how much some GB fans have, and what oddities exist out there.

Well since you were the first news site i would love maybe to see a time line of the major Gbs news stories. Plus me want to see the teaser to Gbs.

Just something that is classic GB.

Well, offhand I’d say we should all chip in and send you a bottle of something nice, and somewhat expensive. Not sure what’s your label, though. You really do such a great job on this site that I don’t think there’s any room for improvement and as for a 10 year anniversary? Maybe the number “10″ with the “0″ being the GB logo?
