No more emails about the IGN / Contactmusic.com / some blog that references either IGN or Contactmusic.com news item about GB3. It’s bogus. They have a script. They did think about Ben Stiller starring at one point. Harold Ramis is not sitting at home sewing the new costumes right this second.
It’s pure, internet sensationalism, and it’s not valid.

Yeah, I think it is getting a little out of control. Even one of the radio stations in Houston was talking about it. I only caught the tail end of the piece, but they were talking about Ghostbusters 3 and I had to laugh a little.
if sensationalism ultimately brings us a 3rd movie, then bring on the sensationalism
I gotta agree, any kind of publicity is good publicity at this point.
It seems the ones who want it the most (us) are the ones that don’t believe in the news. Or at least that the news is new.
Anything that keeps Ghostbusters at the forefront of the minds of the public is a good thing – but my job isn’t to report for the public, it’s to report for the fans, and it doesn’t help the fans to have false hope.
So, the media can report this as true all they want, but I’m going to continue to set the record straight, here, for anyone who cares.
I had to check so many sites to see if I could find the truth. This is the only one that didn’t get caught up in the excitement of an old story.
I’m glad I don’t have to go to this much trouble for Blues Brothers 3 on my site
I’m with you, castewar… it’s good to have a reliable resource that separates fact and fiction in the GB universe.
Agreed. I hate false hope. As much as I want to see another, I doubt it will ever be made.
