GB producer selling limited Terror Dog prints

Posted on June 14, 2006

Michael C. Gross, producer on both Ghostbusters films, is selling some art. Of particular interest to Ghostbuster fans is his limit edition, signed print of a stylized terror dog. For those not in the know, Gross is an accomplished artist, having been involved in the art world even longer than in film.

It’s a really nice image (first one on the link page), with the terror dog hunched on the rooftop alter, like a gargoyle, and poor Dana trapped within. Anybody can own a set of action figures, but art is something special. It would certainly make a nice gift for the discerning ghosthead in your life.

I like the colors and he is a good artist but I don’t think of a terror dog or any thing related to Ghostbusters when I see this. Yeah its a dog with horns but I can’t make the connection.

Well, the connection is that a producer for Ghostbusters says the terror dogs from the movie inspired him. If it were just some guy, sure… but as it happens…

The terror dog is probably his worst painting out of all the ones in the link. His other paintings are pretty good. I do agree it’s hard to make the distinction of anything related to GHOSTBUSTERS when I see the painting. I can’t even be sure it’s a dog at first!
