I remember watching a old episode of Saturday Night Live and at the final bow, Dan Aykroyd said the goodbyes for the cast, and then added in a personal call for anyone selling a particular motorcycle gastank to contact him. You’d think then, that if anyone was going to show up on American Chopper, it would be him.
But as it happens, it will be Bill Murray, when over a couple of episodes, the Teutle’s at Orange County Chopper build him a custom bike inspired by his Caddyshack character, Carl Spackler (and by extention, his favorite passtime, golf.) The show will air in the US Discovery channel on August 7th (I think it’s the same for Canada.) Check your listings for the repeat time that week.

I can appreciate why he doesn’t want to do another Ghostbusters movie… I respect him for wanting to preserve the nostalgia that we all hold dear when thinking of those movies. Still, they could do it without him. Many of you would argue with me on this (Okay, nearly all of you would), but they could still pull it off without him. It has already been touched upon that there could be new team if they were to do another movie… Venkman’s character could easily have been one who just… moved on.
Don’t get me wrong, I would still love to see him in GB3, but they could still do it without him.
I think I once read it took a lot of convincing to make him do Ghostbsuters II, because he thought it was not a good idea (yet he recently made voice acting for Garfiled 2!?!). Anyways, I believe Peter Venkman as a character edges, by just a little, Egon, Winston and Ray. So, Ghostbusters NEED Venkman, but also Spengler, Zeddemore and Stanz. That’s why I believe that if a new Ghostbusters movie is to happen (highly unlikely) Hollywood will go the “revamp” way, same characters different actors, yet not a remake. Also, who believes Hollywood will go foward with a action/adventure/horror/COMEDY with 4 middle-aged dudes?
Why are we talking about this in the comments section about Bill Murray getting a Chopper bike?
