88mh / Hasbro lawsuit
Posted on July 21, 2006
It appears Hasbro and 88mph Studios (publishers of the recent Ghostbusters comics) are locked in a lawsuit;
88MPH Studios, Inc. suing Hasbro, Inc.
Montmagny, QC, Canada - July 21, 2006 - Counterclaiming Hasbro’s own legal action, 88MPH Studios, the cross-plaintiff, is initiating its own lawsuit against the toy manufacturer, seeking 90006.23$ (cdn) worth of damages for wrongful doings and the non respect of multiple contractual terms in regards to a licensing agreement concerning the publication of Transformers related books.
The press release doesn’t say what the lawsuits are about, though presumably its over the Transformers licence - with Transformers movie coming soon, this could be interesting.

Maybe Sebastian will use that money to give REFUNDS… No wait, he’ll most likely use it to hide.
he, he, he. No, really…. 88mph, it sounds familiar… does it even exist? Yes?… good to know.
Though interesting thought. If he has no money for refunds, where has he gotten the cash for a counter-claim against a giant like Hasbro?
so I see the 88mph website has had a revamp-but alas still no damn news concerning the trade back!!

I hope that bastard Sebastien Clavet goes down—he’s a two-faced thieving pimp–I gave him 6 pieces of artwork in Dec of 2002, 4 of them got published in TF:Genesis vol 1 and he never paid me. The only remittance he offered were empty promises. Hasbro should crush him like the worm he is…
