Cool, thanks for the info. I guess it was all the low angle(looking up) shots in GB1 of the NY firehall that made it look so much bigger.. Or all of my memories of RGB.

Nope – I’ve stood in the New York hall, and it BARELY fits the single truck they have inside. Picture a typical fire engine – on either side there’s maybe a few feet of clearance. They back it all the way in, leaving enough room for a car between the front of it and the door. That’s how big the New York station is. Now have a look at the interior shots in GB, or there’s a big top-down shot of it in Big Trouble in Little China. Way bigger.

I was under the impression that the Firehall in New York was the bigger of the two..

I was on my way to the airport when I pulled off to find it – parking in the area sucked, the neighbourhood looked like a demilitarized zone, and as you can see, gated anyhow, so getting in to look was unlikely. Maybe someday.

That’s pretty cool. But were you able to actually see the interior? And if you did, did the pole still work?
