New year, new layout

I wasn’t particularly happy with the last system, so a little research, a little tinkering, and viola! Proton Charging, the 2007 model.
There are still a few things I need to tweak and a lot of old material to get posted, but you’re looking at about 85-90% final.

I like the new layout, Cast. Can’t wait for more news after your return.
The new design is pretty good, but now there’s a big column of empty grey space on the right side of the screen. The old design had an empty white space on the right side, but at least the top and bottom blue bars (header and footer) extended all the way to the side of the screen, so it didn’t seem so small. I’m using a 800×600 screen depth, and the empty grey is pretty big. It must be HUGE for those with larger screen depths (which seems to be most everyone, from what I’ve seen elsewhere on the net).
Maybe if you center the content on the screen, the grey space would be distributed evenly on the sides, so it wouldn’t seem so bad. It might still look “small,” so I don’t know if that’s a prefect idea, but it’s a thought.
As a downside to the new site design, I have to change all of the links I was going to make to some of your articles on my site. Thankfully I haven’t yet MADE those links, but now that’s more work for me to do :-)
