[...] Following the Ecto-1 lithograph offered by 88mph Studios, comes the Peter Venkman lithograph. The print features the Dan Brereton watercolour portrait of Dr. Venkman. Here are the details; Painted by Dan Brereton, the unique finish of the original was faithfully reproduced with the utmost dedication to quality. Superior printing materials were used to create this exceptional lithograph. The final results are amazing and truly does justice to this stunning work of art. [...]

I think he had to print the lithographs in order to fund all the refunds he's having to give for those hardcovers.

I should clarify on what I meant by "immediately." Although he's been talking about lithographs since February 2006, from what I know, he's hasn't said anything about definitely selling them until now - and *NOW* is when he has them ready to ship (which is what I meant by "immediately").

I think he should have been focusing his time, money, and energy on getting the hardcovers printed instead of working on a new project (the lithographs) - even if he plans on using some of the money from it on getting the hardcovers done.

He's asking people to send him another $40 after not having received anything for the first $40. I can't help but be skeptical.

I think it would greatly benefit 88mph to sell some lithographs and have the community provide favorable reports on their transactions. Trust needs to be built back up.

Are the proceeds going to future endeavors or making good on the hardcover sales?

I don't know if immeadiately is the word I'd use. Like you said, it was proposed a year ago.

Why is it that Sebastien can get Ecto-1 lithographs printed and ready to ship immediately, but he can't do the same thing with the Legion hardcover that's he's been taking pre-orders for for over two years?!? You'll recall that about a year earlier (February 1, 2006) he proposed selling lithographs to finance the publication of the Legion hardcover. I wonder if that's what he's really doing with this Ecto-1 lithograph.
