My buddy Taylor just forwarded me this billboard he spotted here in Vancouver – for the last month, Bell Canada has been pushing its new movie feature, which allows you to view a full length, honest to gosh movie on your Bell cell phone. Which never made sense to me, since the battery life of your phone is barely enough for two hours of movie… plus you might want to make a phonecall at some point. And cell phone screens are small.
HOWEVER! That was before they started offering Ghostbusters. Now I have all the same reservations, but at least it’s a movie I’d watch. The service costs $5.99CDN a movie, plus you have to have a particular phone, and subscribe to an unlimited browser package deal. Pricey, but I guess if you really really really have to watch Ghostbusters and your trapped in a well or something…

Interesting…..but what is the deal with the Groundhog?
This is fantastic. Bell is the biggest telephone company in Canada. Imagine the brainstorm cessions of all the media specialists, market analysts, financial gurus, etc, etc. They finally settled on : “Let’s use Ghostbusters”
A 23 years old movie !!! They could have used any movie they like, they chose Ghostbusters.
This is not due to only one individual, the administrative process to finally near it down to GB goes through many people and approvals.
To me it is absolutely amazing. The cheer power of the No-Ghost logo has not faded a iota.
Bell’s mascots are 2 little CGI groundhogs.
Beavers! 2 beavers, Gord and Frank.
Not groundhogs. And as odd as it seems, they’re actually kind of funny, and they stick in your brain.
I’m in Quebec and I really care much for those two beavers (named Bertrand and Jules in french)…
I hate to say this… But this time, it put a smile to my face.
Like Sebastien said, for Bell to use Ghostbusters to tell people that they can watch movies on their cellphone is amazing !
I meant beavers, my bad
Woops…..yes- wrong animal. Ok…..I’m down with this now. I mean…..wherever there is Giant Beaver- I’m There!!!!!
If I’m trapped in a well, I’d probably just call someone to get me out opposed to watching Ghostbusters… =)
Ah, but Joe, what do you do while you wait for someone to come and get you?
That’s right. You watch Ghostbusers.

I am looking for the new billboard picture, where gordon is upside down
with a spider man costume on.
