I just ordered the Rock Poster-style t-shirt off of eBay. Cost about $20 (plus $6 shipping), so it's much more than the $7 at K-Mart quoted in the article, but at least I don't have to make a trip to the busy stores and *HOPE* they have it :-)

Here a high-quality image of the t-shirt's design, which was used in the eBay listing:

It's an awesome image!

Ok i found the KMart shirt in of all places KMart...:P
it is a nice shirt for sure, and one thing i noticed right away from the pics was the artist used the newer toys as reference for the designs for Stay puft, slimer, and Zuul, is the same up top, just a flipped image.
i got the last one they had and found it under the little section they had in the middle of the store with the rest of the screen t-shirts.
i am planning on just hanging the shirt up as a poster of some sorts because of course it is a tad too small (a Large)
but on the plus side, the quality is really nice, and it's made by Mad Engine, and they do have a website.
http://www.madengine.com/

the site has not been updated since jul 07, but does make reference to the gb shirt on the front page, no images or ordering info but maybe some different designs in the future maybe?

Hope this helps...

It's not, sadly. That seems to be the case with a lot of the big box stores - it suggests the shirts aren't likely to be around long enough to warrent entry into the system. Meaning, get em while you can.

I just wanted people to know the shirts from 80s tees aren't very good. The two shirts I got (the blue shirt with the symbol and the slimer one) are very thin and seem like they may deteriorate sometime soon. They're also from some strange company which put very strange writing inside the shirt starting at the tag running down the inside of the shirt. Usually 80s tees shirts are of better quality so I probably will return these shirts.

oh ho! So the Walmart t-shirts aren't the logo, they're the text! Ok, still a cool shirt - I'd better make the distinction in the post though - thanks for the pic!

I just bought a GB shirt from Wal Mart of all places. It's gray like the shirt at Target (which they unfortunately didn't have in my size), but it says "GHOST BUSTERS" like the title in the first movie. Here's a picture.

That "as if they actually made Stay Puft" is my favourite.

What are your thoughts on an Evo Shandor (sp?) shirt. "Too sick to survive"?

Oh the "card thing"...That was in reference to myself, meaning that even as a "serious collector" I wouldn't even touch the things...I was never meant as a "zing" on you...

On the "grasshoppa" thing - I've always used that as a joke, not to defame someone, but as a "term of endearment"...Now that I know the literal translation, I'll use it more wisely from now on ;P...

The "board status" thing - I never meant to become the "nefarious nitpicker"...As it is a place for the discussion of one's thoughts on the upcoming game, I thought it only fair that I get to post my feelings on certain things as well, especially as one [or all of] the Dev team is lurking around the forums...If that wasn't the case, I most likely would be less inclined to post pictures and what-not, as it wouldn't get to the people it was intended mostly for, and all of the work that went into compiling them would be for naught, as they aren't the most "popular" thing for discussion in that thread right now...

But as one Dev team member asked Ben to relay to us collectively - He wanted our "suggestions"...And that was what I was trying to do...Some are content to talk about "gameplay", "game mechanics" and the like and I have no problem with those what little I've seen of the game, in-action...My problem lied with some [not all] of the graphics...For me it has to be a complete experience, and as such if the graphics are lacking, it's not going to be a 100% experience...

And it doesn't hurt that my faith in Sony is next to nill right now...Throwing out things with the GB brand [I.e. the 2005 Dvd's] and hoping it'll sell on that alone...For casual fans maybe - For guys like me - Not a chance...I was just doing my part, and hoping to try to steer them [Dev team] in the right direction, if by chance they were perusing the boards...

Though for some odd reason I seem to be the one that everyone "zeros in" on to judge, even though there have been members on there with the same aim, just on different aspects of the game, and just sans the "pictorial"...Even when I explain myself before hand, and have toned down my "delivery"...

I guess everyone's a critic...Myself included.

But anyways - Apology accepted, and yes the "hatchet" is buried...And even though I'm only 28 [And only getting older by the year] - I forget with the best of 'em Caste ;P...

*Cheers.

All right, I'm chill now.

This will be one part apology, one part not, and one part excuse. Hopefully we can bury the hatchet (a rarity on the internet, but I'm game to try.)

Firstly, the excuse. I'm old and forgetful - not Methuselah old, but the prime, it is gone, and it gets me into trouble sometimes. This is sort of one of those times.

In the huge burst on info scrabbling when the game was announced, I did what I do, and dug up the Variety article - nothing special, and something many others did at the same time. I posted it, and quickly got a comment on the post from someone essentially whining that they'd found it first. That bugged me - and without going into names, his was, well, close to your messageboard posting nick, Lanny. And I mistook one for the other.

Add in your self-described nit-picker status (plus old age, remember) and my brain pinned it all on you.

A few days later, you posted that link to the Kylie doll - I didn't realize it was on the same site, and as you had no other comment, plus my newly formed, erroneous opinion that you were a whiny nit-picker (plus old age), and I thought it was a "me too" post, not an addendum.

Get to today, and this is where my apology kind of ends, sort-of.

As you said, you're hardcore - it shows. You're holding a lot of GB stuff in your head. I saw your firehall door post. I'm hardcore too, but just not like you - I'm not a stats or trivia guy, though I know more than the average, ordinary bear.

So, your comments on the Japanese playing card post (which, whether you meant it or not, implied that I'm not a serious collector) and today, where you called me Grasshopper (dude, that means only one thing in English slang - "I know more than you.") I'd had enough.

Now, thing make a bit more sense.

I got you wrong on a couple of things and again, I apologize.

And on a couple of others, you rankle people, and you rankled me on a day when I wasn't interested in someone talking down to me.

In the future, I'm going to accept at face value that you are genuinely contributing to the conversation - preaching and teaching. Not talking down to the crowd.

In return, besides accepting my apology, try and frame things a bit more casually - like you're making additions, not proclamations - it'll help in the long run.

And don't call me Grasshopper - I'm too old for that shit. ;)

All right, I’m chill now.

This will be one part apology, one part not, and one part excuse. Hopefully we can bury the hatchet (a rarity on the internet, but I’m game to try.)

Firstly, the excuse. I’m old and forgetful – not Methuselah old, but the prime, it is gone, and it gets me into trouble sometimes. This is sort of one of those times.

In the huge burst on info scrabbling when the game was announced, I did what I do, and dug up the Variety article – nothing special, and something many others did at the same time. I posted it, and quickly got a comment on the post from someone essentially whining that they’d found it first. That bugged me – and without going into names, his was, well, close to your messageboard posting nick, Lanny. And I mistook one for the other.

Add in your self-described nit-picker status (plus old age, remember) and my brain pinned it all on you.

*Oh and as an added note: I don't ever remember ever trying to "best" you in finding ANY article...If I found "it" before you [which I don't even remember what "it" was] - I would NEVER be like "Looka at me and what I found!! Boo Castewar"...

*I've only held you in the HIGHEST regard Caste - But somehow I'm questioning that now...

*"Happy Thanksgiving" though, nonetheless.

*Cheers.

*Dude - Chill out...I never meant to "lord over" anyone...Nor have I ever tried to purposely "out-do", "out-funk", or "out-know" anyone either...If I come off that way, I apologize...When I'm passionate about something, especially something I've followed "tooth-and-nail" since I was a wee 4 years old, I tend to come on strong...And I can't help that...

*And as for that "Kylie" figure - That came from the very same site you found the "Mignola-style Ray" - And it was NOT mine...Though, I thought that I'd be nice, and shoot you and your readers the link as so you could check it out...Had I know you'd mistake that as "boasting" or "self-grooming" I would've refrained...

*What I was trying to accomplish by posting in this entry was "lending a hand to someone to whom I thought needed it", as I thought those were honest questions, and not rhetorical ones...

*Maybe I'll think twice next time before I decide to actually be "helpful"...

*Cheers.

Tuff, I agree - it's one of the more inspired shorts. I kind of like the Stay-puft shirt - it also comes in a hoodie. But then I start thinking, "Man, keeping it clean would be such a pain!"

Lanny, I meant "kid" pretty much the same way you meant "grasshopper" - it was a diminutive (and an appropriate one, as I waved bye-bye to 28 years ago.)

I don't need you to explain to me the concept of shirts=money and I understand where the date could have come from too.

What's really starting to bug me is you drop into every conversation (here at on the boards) not to help, but to try and show everyone that you're the better know-it-all. And if you want to, that's fine, but you're going about it in a really socially inept sort of way.

The best example is on the custom, Mignola-style Ray. You didn't post, "cool!" or "Cool! Here's one I made." - you just posted a link to yours. Not cool dude - that's "It's the Me show" behaviour.

And the bit where you and I found the same article within 11 minutes of each other, but you make a point of commenting here that "You found it first."

You're a fount on GB knowledge, kid. But instead of sharing it with everyone, you're lording it over them. And it sucks.

Please keep this conversation in mind for the future.

Now...

Does anybody know where that Pac-Man/Egon t-shirt is?

*I hardly think I'm a "kid" @ 28 years old Caste...If that was meant as a "term of endearment" then...

*And to answer your question - the reason it said that in the booklet, is that the movie started production in 1983, and being as though the booklet was showing "the making of", the "Venkman classified information" thing was a play on that fact.

*As to why it made it to a T-Shirt - One has to only look at the "almighty dollar", and the "unschooled-in-all-things-GB" schlob that came up with the idea...

*Cheers.

Sorry - let me clarify. I'm not puzzled about where it came from. It didn't make any clear sense in the booklet either. I'm confused about how that made it onto a, presumably, licensed t-shirt product. Did it deliberately grow out of the DVD? Was it don't at the same time as the DVD, and they had the leeway to pick their designs, and lifted it from the booklet? Are those t-shirts even official?

Come back when you have information for finding those stray art-tees I can't find - that would be more useful.

And don't call me Grasshopper, kid.
