Ghostbusters is already on the Xbox 360

Posted on November 28, 2007

So to speak…

The Xbox 360 movie trivia game, Scene It! features Ghostbusters questions (some of which are based on Ghostbusters movie clips.) But don’t get too cocky. According to the Official Xbox Magazine UK, the game may stump the hardest of the core;

Likewise the film clips are a real lesson in memory-management. We’re watching the scene in Ghostbusters were Sigourney Weaver finds out her fridge is possessed by a evil entity. Her eggs start exploding, the yolk frying on the kitchen top in front of her disbeliefing eyes. We count the number that start frying. We’ve got this one in the bag.

“How many hats were hanging on the stand when Diana [sic] came into the apartment?” WHAT? The game certainly knows how to throw you.

There is a demo available for free download through Xbox Live, though it’s not certain if the demo contains the demo does not contain any Ghostbusters love. I know, cuz I played it last night - it could be kind of fun as a group or family game. And priced the same as a triple-A title (which is good, considering it comes with four buzzer controllers.)

    Spell Dana’s name wrong…and what kind of question is that?

    That’s why I put [sic], which means “They spelt it wrong, not us”, and that question, is bizarre, but it’s one of they types of questions they ask - memory questions (and obviously they go looking for the oddest ones they can.)

    Personally, I don’t even remember there being a hat rack.

    “Personally, I don’t even remember there being a hat rack.”

    Perhaps it’s cropped out of the VHS (and televised) pan-and-scan releases of the movie?

    I know why you put [sic] I was commenting on their misspelling not yours.

    Sorry Spooky - I was lost without a personal pronoun in there. Kinda went for the grumpy assumption as I did a fly-by site check before speeding off into the night.

    Stephen - It’s definitely missing in the pan and scan, but I had a quick check on the DVD, and still nothing. If you know where it is, fess up - it’ll keep me up nights, at this rate.

    I have to wonder what those Scene It writers were smoking because as can clearly be seen (or NOT seen as the case may be) in this letterboxed clip of the scene in question (albeit dubbed in Italian), there is no hat rack/stand at all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeYEG20PCFY

    Even when Peter comes to check out her apartment (at the 5:14 mark in that clip), and we get a better look at her living room, there still is no hat rack/stand!
