Sony Consumer Products (not to be confused with Omni Consumer Products)
What does this mean to us? Well, more than likely it will lead to at least a few more cool Ghostbusters items to spend our money on in the coming year. Time will tell.
UPDATE: Here’s the list of what Sony says they are looking for at that show (bear in mind that this covers ALL of Sony’s IPs, not just ghostbusters, but it is an interesting guideline on possibilities.)
- Apparel/Fashion/Accessories
- Food/Beverages
- Promotions/Incentives
- Publishing
- Stationery/Paper Goods
- Toys/Games/Hobbies

That’s great to see Sony getting behind the franchise. Keeping it in mothballs doesn’t make fans happy or make anybody any money.
god i can’t wait until comic con
Dan Amrich i totally agree with you

Well, OCP isn’t quite as evil as Sony. Wait, don’t leave Sony, I’m sorry. No, it’s not you, it’s me. It’s okay, I forgive you (except you SOE, I’ll never forgive you), just bring on the Ghostbusters.
Questions.
1. Is this at the Javitz Center?
2. It looks like Ecto-1 is in the lobby area, although the licensing convention is probably for business representatives only… is Ecto-1 available for public viewing?
3. Does anyone know if Ecto-1 will be there both tuesday AND wednesday?
That is the Javitz Center and while I don’t know for certain, I’d be surprised if they shipped it from LA just to take it home before the Expo actually starts.
And I’m also not sure of the set-up, but it’s often possible at trade shows like that, to get into the lobby without a pass, you just can’t get into the Expo hall. I wouldn’t swear to that, but that’s my guess.
Yep, like i’d said before, Sony has many events for the Original Ecto-1. It goes back to Sony and later it hits the road. Keeping Ecto-1 out of the rain, its great to see Ecto-1 out. I’ll be checking on Ecto-1A later this month. – Hollywood Detective
uh, oh wow! where iis this at brooklyn or manhattan?! i wish it was at least downtown brooklyn! lol!
Manhatten, near the Lincoln Tunnel, but according to the website, if you can catch the A or C line, you can get pretty close.

I dunno about ayone else, and I hate to build up unnecessary excitement, but…
I truely now believe that all this promotion all of a sudden cant be just directed at a blue ray release and the game. Since when has the publicity machine gone into such overdrive for a DVD rehash (albeit Blue Ray) and video game?? Bring on Comic Con!
That’s a slightly different inflatable Stay-Puft. You’ll notice that the mouth and face are slightly different from the one we’ve seen for the past few months.
I wonder how many different inflatable Stay-Pufts there are.
