Where did they film the parts with the Statue of Liberty walking down the streets!?

One shot, at least, was in front of Trump Tower, located at 725 Fifth Avenue.

If I had the time, I'd try to track down Libby's entire path in the film - especially to see if it's possible to take the same path in real-life.

Look out for the Ray´s book store :D

I remember reading about this one a while back, with current photos of the place, but I can't remember where I was reading up on it. Maybe I have the page or photos saved somewhere. I'll have to look. I think the storefront was in the St. Marks district/area.

Chris, I'm glad you understood what I meant. I was afraid I got a little too wordy trying to explain it.

By the way, great job with this Shot On Site series you're doing. I like the concept and dig the clever name. I may have to try to do one myself. Although the one I want to do most would be done the reverse way of how you've been doing it. I'd love to tackle Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, CA, which numerous sources say was a filming location for Ghostbusters or Ghostbusters II (most sources say GB1, but some say GB2).

For years I've been trying to figure out just what in the movies was filmed there. Nothing in the final films suggests anything was filmed there. I thought maybe the tunnel scenes in GB2 (some sources mention long tunnels under the mansion), but I'm sure that was shot on a stage. I know the slime tunnel was, but I don't know about the train tunnel. I'd bet that the deleted GB1 Fort Detmerring scene was filmed at Greystone Mansion. Unfortunately, that scene has not been made public, so all I have to go by are the few stills we have, which isn't much at all. Comparing it to photos of the mansion, I could see a spot that looks like it would work, but the brick and structural work in the Detmerring stills doesn't match the mansion photos - and I don't think the mansion owners would have changed the brick and structure work since it IS a historic landmark.

If you or anyone who reads this has more info, please share. I'd like to get this mystery solved once and for all.

Is the Cho-Sen Food Shoppe Ltd. store meant to help "solidify" both intersections as being the same in the movie? It's quite obvious due to Libby's Coffee Shop and the parking lot in the later scene that they're two different intersections. But why would the Ghostbusters dig at an intersection other than the one where Dana's baby carriage went on its wild ride? After all, isn't the NY intersection the one where they pulled out the PKE and Giga meters and got the high readings? I would think that the intersection they got the readings from would be the one they'd dig at.

I hope that all made some sense because this is something that's annoyed me about the film for years.
