And yes, for those of you that caught the G4 demo exclusive - Sierra Associate Producer Ryan French wasn’t kidding… he actually is the model for Rookie (or an uncanny resemblance.)

But for all of those good pics and all that good video, the most interesting part of the E3 trailer is at the very end - nested in amoung about a dozen logos sits Vivendi Gaming Mobile. Ghostbusters the video game on your phone? iPhone perhaps? All delicious speculation, but an interesting thought.

Thourghout the G4 video and trailer (and all videos so far) I’ve been holding out out to hear some new lines. To hear the guys again.
I don’t think it’s quite hit me yet, and it probably won’t until the game is in my hands!

Trailer looks/feels fan made. No new lines are a let-down. And I’ll be real mad if that laugh at the end turns out to be the ‘new’ voice of Slimer. Couldn’t they have asked Reitman or Welker to come back, too?

The trailer has that 80s essence that make you wanna play it NOW… I just love it, and I´m very satisfied of what TR are doing with it…

It’s like everytime I begin to deal with the wait you guys come along and release gam eplay/screenshots and give me more nights not sleeping cause i cannot wiat for this game…lol..jk jk.. g4 stuff and trailer is awesome..I love how they did it like a movie trailer..and the screenshots of Stanz and Spengler are great

Hey raystanz…I think i kno wut happened to Venkman…in the g4 demo video the guy mentions that Bill Murray just recently finished his voice over so I think they were waiting for that to add him into the cinematic scenes

That looked amazing, it felt like the trailer for the first movie to me… (Maybe because of all the clips, or the guy doing the voice over) Anyways, finally the time we’ve all been waiting for is soon upon us!
And for raystants, if you look closely, I believe Venkman is behind Winston coming up the stairs of the library.

Before I say what I have to say, let me clarify this first…I am in love with this game already. I haven’t played a single second of it, and its already my favorite game I’ve ever played lol.
Okay, now for something that I might get some heat for. Was I the only one who was underwhelmed with the presentation on G4? All these other games were presented with people who were very personable, and funny, and just comfortable being on tv. To me, Ryan French just seemed, for lack of a better word, lost. This really took away from the excitement of the demo for me, and for the people I was watching with.
Again, don’t get me wrong, the game look spectacular…I just wish that it had been represented a little better. Let the flame war begin.

I had the same feeling… he stand up there, lost…… saying few words in a voice without tonality…like a Russel Croweish corpse….
the trailer is far more exciting!
Now: what do you think the Big Announcement will be?
- not the multiplayer (Ryan mentioned it in the video)
- not the Dan + Ernie presence (the announcement will be made AT comic con, not before)
- not the manga
- not the blue ray.
- not the Real Gb dvd box set…

Slimer sounded like that in the movie anyway! I would be more pissed if he sounded like the character in the cartoon! I thought the “Slimer Giggle” was perfect

I just think Slimer’s laugh in the trailer sounds a little too ‘Disney’ for me. In the movies, he’s got this mean throaty snarl that I always thought fit the character perfectly.
Glad they’ve kept the original GB music, though. Not to mention Ernie’s GB1 haircut… :-))

If you look at the video and pic where Ray is shooting his proton pack to his right in the back is Venkman he even has his jumpsuit legs over the boots just like in the films thats just awesome all their attention to detail

Rookie wont be customizable, which is too bad, cause I imagine each one of us would’ve loved to make a personal “me-as-a-GB” avatar. Oh, well. Nothing is perfect.
Anyone thinks that maybe the big announcement is something we already know, ’cause we follow all GB-related news, but will be a big announcement to everyone else at SDCC? I hope that’s not the case.

I’ve watched these videos so many times over and over, and sometimes I still have to rub my eyes in disbelief this game is actually happening!! October can’t come soon enough.
BTW, anyone notice so far it seems the traps have no pedal or chord? I wonder if they’ve been upgraded to be wireless?

I noticed something in the pic called, “Basement Clean-up” in the xbox pic selection. If you zoom on on the name patch of the rookie guy his patch just says, “Rookie” I wonder if that means you’ll be able to insert your own name onto the patch.

No, you weren’t the only one. They should have gotten someone else to demo the game, like maybe the “big guy” himself: Mark Randel! Mark seems like the obvious choice.
I agree wholeheartedly with what some others are saying about the trailer: lack of Venkman’s presence (hiding in the background doesn’t count), no dialogue, and that it feels fan-made. It would have been best if they left out ALL movie clips (especially since the quality of the film print they used SUCKS), and allowed the game footage to stand on its own. It would have been totally awesome if Venkman was shown in a close-up uttering a witty line to something. Oh, and I really don’t like that ending laugh either. It just feels more like a Joker/cartoon laugh than Slimer or Ghostbusters.

I noticed that too. I really hope that’s not permanent. It’ll be really dumb if he doesn’t have a REAL name, especially since this game is supposed to be canon.
Speaking of names, let’s hope they’re called ECTO-GOGGLES and not Para-Goggles as Ryan kept calling it in the G4 video.
