Dave, our favorite Art Monkey, sent in this image (link has full sized scan) of the cover for the second issue of Ghostbusters: The Other Side, which is being solicited now, or will be shortly – I’m not sure. Call your local comic shop.
Whacked! After inadvertently crossing a ghost mafia made up of the most notorious gangsters in history, three of the original Ghostbusters find themselves on the wrong end of a Tommy gun! Dead before their time and consigned to Purgatory, can the gang somehow find their way back to the land of the living?
Plus, what happened to Venkman?
Bullet holes and being transparent can only mean one thing; the Ghostbusters are dead!
OK, the gravestone was a bit of a giveaway as well. And yeah, were’s Venkman?
Thanks to Dave and Twilight Comics (St. Louis? Technically Shiloh , Il, according to Dave – 15mins away) for the cool find. You think after all this time, MY comic shop guy would think to send me a cover like that.

Twilight Comics is based in Shiloh , Il, about 15 min outside St. Louis, but serves all of the region as the best comic shop in the area.
Why is it the best comic shop? Because they find things like this for me. : )
lol
Bullet holes ? GBs dead ? Much more extreme than Sony would have allowed back in the day.
-=S=-
did they burry them on top of eachother?
I hope it’s not too dark. GB is comedy after all…
I’d rather know what a-hole put that snide remark on their tombstone…
Bill Murray.
Wowie…Winston looks just like the old skool Reg E. Cathey. Anyone remember the guy?

Already subscribed and loving it.
A brave move, definately. No pulling any punches with the idea so far.
That said, I’ll have to read it before I know for sure whether I like this new direction or not.
Hello, Seb.
*I just wonder how “canon” this is going to be, being that Dan Aykroyd – Co-Creator of this franchise – Specifically said that “no one dies in Ghostbusters…May get shaken up, may get bruised, but never die”…
*Now the RGB continuity has had the guys run the gamut of transformations, out-of-body experiences, and the like, but never outright death…
*My point is that this is either going to be a great developmental story arch, or a horrible piece of tripe…
*And is it just me – Or does Keith Champagne really have a dislike for the franchise?…He just talks it up like he does, and then seems to diss it every chance he gets…Even if it comes off as vauge in interviews…
*Cheers.
One question… Is the first issue already released??? My comic dealer haven´t told me anything about it in a while.
No the comic doesn’t start until Oct/Nov – this is just part of pre-ordering.
Does anybody know how frequently these will be issued? Once a week, once a month…? And BTW, when the heck are those Kubrick toys coming out!!
I know who wrote that sarcastic remark on the tomb….Those no good b#%tards at Activision!
Bring out the game already!
Jonathan: Uh, it’s going to be montly… like most other comics, until the series finishes.
I really don’t read comics, usually. I’ll be picking this one up though. It looks interesting. I picked up issue #1 of that other GB comic and thought it was pretty stupid. But this one seems unrelated to those, so…might as well give it a shot, right?
How can I get in on this? Anyone? Where can I order online?
I would recommend HeavyInk.com and of course there’s GrahamCrackers.com. Those are the only two I’ve ever used.

I see the resemblance only a little bit. However, I certainly remember Reg E. Cathey. He’ll always be a part of my childhood – him and the entire Square One TV cast. Plus I remember him from the Jim Carrey movie The Mask.
I like that you linked to a photo of him with Ernie Hudson in the background over his shoulder!

I never used HeavyInk, but if you recommend them, I might have to give them a try. Though I’ll probably get the new comics from Graham Crackers because they’ve been good to me in the past – and word is they might have something HeavyInk probably won’t have that’ll make them the better option (I can’t say anything more right now).
Of course, there’s also MileHighComics.com, but I don’t know how good they are on current comics, as I’ve only used them for back issues. I will tell ya that their online shopping system sucks, but they really don’t give much of an alternative. I could provide details on why I say it sucks, but that’s a rant for another day
