Long talked about, and months in the making thus far, we finally get to see some of the art for Cereal Geek’s upcoming Tobin’s Spirit Guide – the issue will essentially be a who’s who of ghosts and monsters in The Real Ghostbusters, each accompanied by a fantastic bit of illustration by Tristan Jones. You can see more than the sampler above at his Deviant Art account. No word on a release date, but it can’t be far off now, by the looks of things.

Holy fuck, is his artwork creepy or what?
This is going to be awesome.
Great artwork. I’m waiting for some publishing company to release a hardback book of Tobins Spirit Guide. A book which catalogues all the spirits which Tobin encountered and researched. I’ve always thaught of Tobin as a kind of Darwin but for ghosts instead of animals. They need to make the book look old fashioned though.
Perhaps they could also release a second book as well. Spenglers Spirit Guide.
Those illustrations are awesome!
Oh that is bitchin. I cannot wait for this issue. Cant wait to see what he does with Samhain.
That is uber cool. Its nice to see some dark imagery from the GB universe. I wonder how they R gonna publish it. I hope it comes in text book form like in the cartoons.
Oh my! I have been waiting for something like this for years! I’ll buy two! Can we pre-order? My money is as good as gone on this issue!
No word of how to buy yet, but if it’s like the magazine, you will eventually be able to order through the website or for North Americans, buy it through Graham Crackers.
The first batch will be appearing in Cereal:Geek Magazine #4. Hopefully, so long as the magazine sells well, we can do more and more (I’d personally like to do every ghost/spirit/demon that is logically possible, including the movies, comics and EGB).
I think you can order it from Grahamcrackers.com…
Check it out at http://www.cerealgeek.com, cerealgeek.blogspot.com. and cerealgeek.deviantart.com. If you’re on facebook and/or myspace, I believe there are groups or pages for the magazine there too. All these sites include a slew of previews from previous magazines so you’ll be able to see what other kinds of things appear in the mag.
The cover is Ghostbusters themed too.
My mistake. Cereal:geek’s deviant site is http://bustatoons.deviantart.com/
SICK! I want these framed!
Also, if someone could get a hi-res shot of the main Ghost from Masquerade I would be extremely grateful!
Wow! Needless to say, of all the artwork, comics or manga and what have you that we’ve seen…THIS artwork blows ANY of that away!! This is a MUST HAVE! Thank God for Cereal Geek!!!
Hoyl crap, this looks amazing. This might be one of my favorite Ghostbusters things ever if the art looks like that the whole way through. Truly awe-inspiring!
Hopefully it will show up soon here, thanks for the tip everyone!
