Firehall packaging - sneak peek!
Time-Life, continuing to be awesome guys, sent out some example firehall boxes for us all to look at. Suffice to say, they’re awesome - and rather than me reinventing the wheel, why not have a look at Chad’s wicked video short on the matter.
Tell me this set isn’t going to be eight shades of awesome - Plus, it looks to me like that bad boy will fit on a shelf with the rest of the DVDs!

That’s Chad’s video, not mine. Man, Chris, you’re always getting the two of us confused

That looks awesome. I guess I better preorder.

So I went to preorder and right before checkout, it did not reflect that free express shipping. Does that require a code too?

Yeah, I totally got the names swapped. The office AC froze itself into a block of ice over the weekend, then began melting into a lake in the office kitchen, so my brain was preoccupied most of the day.
Name, four letters, having to do with a Ghostbuster website… grab.

SO GLAD I PRE-ORDERED! I guess being a ghosthead is all about dissapointment, delay, and time. But thats why we are the best fans !!!!!

Dan - I think (but don’t quote me on this) that TimeLife is giving the free FedEx Express shipping manually when they bill your order. It’s not something that’s going to be reflected in the shopping cart. I’m going to try to get some clarification on the issue from TimeLife.

Thanks very much, Paul!

If anyone received a card in the mail saying that you need to contact Time Life in a certain amount of time or your order will be canceled, don’t ignore it.
I took it on faith by what I read at tvshowsondvd.com and other sites the card was sent in error and my order wouldn’t be canceled, but yet it happened. “canceled” was as plain as day when I just checked my order status.
I love the looks of the set and the way Time Life has promoted this thing, but the order system still needs some work. Small gripe.

I just got a response back from TimeLife which clarifies some of the confusion going around.
In short, the free FedEx Express shipping offer is an UPGRADE which is applied manually when your order is billed. It won’t show up in the cart. Place your order as normal with standard shipping, for which you’ll be billed appropriately, and it’ll be upgraded to FedEx Express shipping at no additional cost.
With that in mind, I think I can safely say that using the AFPUMPKIN coupon code gives the best deal available.
By the way, Canadians can’t use the AFPUMPKIN code. The best code available to you guys is SLIMER, which takes $15 off the item price.

Zuul - it might actually be a sign from God that your order was canceled (but don’t quote me on that) as it means that you can place a new order and use the AFPUMPKIN and the free FedEx Express shipping upgrade offer to get the best possible deal ever offered on the set!

I just placed my preorder using the AFPUMPKIN discount and I got 15% off the price and $5 shipping. Not too shabby. Thanks for the tip, Paul.

Actually, I used the now expired 25% off code. Which means I’d probably lose a few bucks. I emailed them about un-canceling my order and hopefully I’ll hear something tomorrow.

Hey Caste!!..I know that this is very off-topic but I work in a GameStop in Jersey and today I was looking through our system and I discovered that Ghostbusters the videogame is back in our system and has a release date of June 16, 2009..just thought I’d let you know.

My Mom and I confirmed our order, especially when we learned about the “Ups”, and the “Downs” thay’ve been having.
Not only am I getting this series to go with my collection of OTHER Ghostbusters DVDs (including Filmation), but also a chance to the CHRISTMAS SPECKTACULAR that’s from Radio City!
