You know what would have been cool..if, for the wii, version of the GB since it has a more cartoony look if the had the team look like The REal Ghostbusters cartoon gohstbusters and have those guys do the voices but hey I still LOVE the fact that our orignal GBs are in all versions of the game..and would anyone happen to know if there is gonna be a GB game demo at the NY comi-con in February?..I might be going and that would be great if the demo were there.
That was a great video – I’m now officially sold on both versions of the game.
@Patrick: I’m sure they would’ve had to pay DiC for that though.
I can’t wait myself, I just wish the release date was closer to now, I mean, seriously, look at the countdown, 186 days, I’m going to go crazy.
Once again, by damn work computer won’t let me view the vid. Looks like I’ll have to wait til my lunch break. I too will be buying both the wii an 360 versions.
Well, my hopes for the Wii version are higher than ever now…except that it looks like they’re crossing the streams a whole lot in that video.
Unless things have changed, there isn’t a female character in the next gen versions which is another plus for the Wii.
I gotta say, I think this looks really, really solid. What I enjoyed hearing the most was that apparently the developers are taking the time to really polish things up. Such a strong effort here, this looks great!
I couldn’t finish watching the preview. That guy kept saying “uuuhhh” and “uummm” way too much. But the game does look really fun.
Sorry guys but I don’t like the look of the Wii version at all. I think that the producers should have gone for the realistic look. Sure it wouldn’t have looked as good as the ps3 or 360 versions but I would have preferred it to this.
@Matthew..I see what your saying but you’ve got to understand who plays the Wii the most..younger kids and families..it’s a family system so they really wanted to cater to adult GB fans with the next-gen versions.. but also get a whole new generation of little kids interested in the Ghostbusters..so they had to go for a cartoony look for little kids.
Well it’s about time!! Finally we get to see the Wii version in action. I gotta say I’m impressed, it looks and plays a lot better than I thought it would and will now get both PS3 and Wii versions for sure. The design is pretty cool, except for the fact that the Ghostbusters look a little like action figures and Ray’s design is just atrocious. I don’t know who that’s supposed to be but Dan Aykroyd it ain’t.
It would have been a better demo if the guy didn’t walk around in circles and do nothing else for the first few minutes.
Did anyone notice that when the librarian turns into the evil ghost, as they’re fighting her, you can hear the movie cue music in the background? I thought that music worked great in the fight scene.
I certainly hope that the “Wii Only” items are really “Wii & PS2 Only” items.
Wow. Have you played Luigi’s Mansion on the Gamecube? Basically the same game. The ghosts look very similar in style and you catch ghosts in LM by wearing them down by pulling in the opposite direction and weakening them before you can suck them up. Also, the whole goggle thing to find ghosts and their weaknesses was done in LM as well. Not saying LM wasn’t inspired by Ghostbusters in the first place, but this looks incredibly similar. However, LM was a great game and I’m interested to play this sequel…to Ghostbusters or Luigi’s Mansion. I think I’ll be getting a PS3 to try “the real deal” when it comes out. Perhaps a better demo with voice acting and sound effects and music will sell me, but the cartoony graphics ain’t cutting it if you’re not going to model the cartoony graphics after RGB. And, I understand that it’s not possible.
I hope they never make another Ghostbusters animated series then if people aren’t going to accept any cartoon look other than RGB.
