GO!
Entertainment Weekly has called Ghostbusters THE funniest comedy in the last 25 years;
In the summer of 1984, the only pop-culture question more common than ”Where’s the beef?” was ”Who you gonna call?” The dream trio of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis was the epitome of sarcastic comedy cool, battling slimy ghosts, the nosy Environmental Protection Agency, and a giant Stay-Puft marshmallow man.
The commenting pedants don’t agree – haters. Thanks to Nevil for the spot.
Ray Parker Jr. performed Ghostbusters on Japanese TV, backed by a Japanese boy-band… I think.
The man looks good – it has to be said. Thanks to Andreas and mp3j0ker for that one.

Looks like he’s being backed by the legendary boy band, SMAP. Makes my day either way ^^
Ya know, im shocked. Ray parker jr and Ernie hudson both look Younger now, 25 years later since the first film, then they did 25 years ago. prehapse they found dick clarks youth formula.
Black don’t crack, baby.
I was just thinking how amusing it would be if Bill Murray’s character in “Lost in Translation” saw that video clip on TV and did a double take.
I personally don’t think Ghostbusters is the FUNNIest movie of the last 25 years, although I totally don’t get mid-late ’70’s SNL style humor. SNL was way better, IMO, during the mid-90’s. I love Ghostbusters, it’s masterfully crafted, full of eye candy, but I don’t really laugh with that film like I have many other films…
yikes
I wonder why everytime RPJ performs this song he is almost always singing to a backing track, or not singing at all, also if when he does really play, it sounds nothing like the original!
Always nice to see Mr. Parker perform. Any word on how big a role the theme song will play in the video game?
its funnier than Young Frankenstein
Word is that it, like the Elmer Bernstein score, will be prominently featured.
Yeh, it’s SMAP. Kimura Takuya is in it and he’s been in a few J-drama’s i’ve seen. They’re all really good too. “Engine” and “Pride” are worth checking out
RPJ is back and ready to sing again the Ghostbusters song worldwide in 2009!
Happy New Year everyone !
what’s with the guitar prop?
I can understand how RPJ always “sings” with the original track backing him…but why the hilarious guitar strumming to nothing?
