*YAY for leaks!! ;P…
*Cheers.
Spoiler city, but maaaaaaaaaaan…
I’m doing my best not to peak, but it’s so hard! The multiplayer looks great, love the zombie-like creatures.
The cut scene was also nice to see. I love how the original score plays a role in the game. I can’t wait to be totally immersed in this game.
I’m afraid life as I know it will be over the instant I close the tray on my Xbox 360.
I didn’t think the clips were too spoilerish. I mean they’ve used a lot of that footage in different trailers and other things that have been on different gaming sites. At any rate, the game looks like a dream come true.
Hey Chad, you best hope you don’t get the RRoD on day one. I’ll pray for you.
I’ve tried to be as pessimistic as possible about this game, so that no matter what I’m impressed. After watching all this footage, tied with the footage where Peter is teaching you, I just can’t be pessimistic, this game seems like a dream come true. I just don’t know how I’m going to concentrate while listening the the guys talk in the background. THE DIALOG IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree…the dialog from the original team in the background is very distracting…in a GOOD WAY !!! LOL…I know listening to all the goodness I’ll die, or need to be revived…ALOT. But that’s re-playability right there. It was such a treat to see a cinematic and the gameply without any other distractions like people talking, explaining the game, etc. The gameplay looks BRILLIANT and ADDICTING! While you can tell how much hard work, extra time, and love went into those almost “true to life” cinematics. These aren’t just cheesy, thrown together cinematics/cut scenes. Rather it truely feels like a CG movie ala Final Fantasty. Just EPIC! CAN’T F’EN WAIT !!!!!!!!!
There’s at least one video clip missing. In GameTrailer’s “Atari Interview”, there are two clips not included in the YouTube video.
One is a cutscene clip of Peter, Ray, and Egon (from 2:23-2:36) in which Peter comments on how him and the player’s mother are so proud of the destruction caused.
The other is a clip of the player fighting Sargassi’s ghost (3:33-3:39).
These two clips might be from the same video since the locale is the same in both. Also, there’s a screencap on AOL that I presume is taken from the original footage showing the three guys about to enter Sargassi’s restaurant. This, also, isn’t in the YouTube videos.
Otherwise, it’s great that someone provided all of these videos. I only wish they Atari would have provided the original higher-quality videos since YouTube decreased the quality a bit.
Paul, click on the HD button.
High Definition goodness!
Anomaly – you’re right about the dialogue. Honestly? I have the bad habit of playing through the same levels or areas in games until I’ve experienced it all, and that makes me very … very afraid how many times I’m going to play through these levels, lol.
One of the clips reveal an Acheivement\Trophy. “Slime Dunk”. I think it wuz clip # 3.
The guy who put those vids on youtube is getting in trouble with Atari, they keep deleting the vids
Yeah, that’s about what we figured would happen.
Ben, I know about the HD versions. I have the YousableTubeFix Greasemonkey script which lets me download the 1280×720 HD files. What I was trying to say is that even though they are great quality, it’s obviously when comparing them to the screen caps I found on AOL, that YouTube reduced the quality. They’re not as sharp as the originals Atari provided to the press. It’s those originals that I wish Atari would provide on their Press site.
I hope that makes it a little clearer what I meant.
