Amazon has updated their listings on what comes in their Exclusive Slimer Edition. It’s unclear if the Minimates are meant to be generic ghosts or ghosts from the video game (though one would hope they’re from the game.) Thanks to Jordin and the comments peanut gallery for the spot.
Included in the Slimer Edition:* An exclusive Slimer bust designed and created by the original movie sculptor, Steve Johnson. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor himself.
* Exclusive Ghostbusters Minimates. Only be available with the Slimer Edition.
* Exclusive Ghostbusters Gamer Graffix Console Skins.
* Exclusive Ecto 1 Key Chain with lights and sound.

It looks like they are from the game as the last one appears to be the Chef ghost as seen on the cover and in screenshots as well.
I think you are correct Rodie. Looks like the key chain resembles the Ecto-1B as well.
Phew… a 130 bones eh?… I want this stuff but damn… That’s more than double the cost of the of the game…

Does it seem weird to anyone else that they want an extra 60 bucks or so for a slimer bust that (in my opinion) doesn’t look all that special…. an Ecto 1 keychain that is equally unimpressive… And minimates of 4 characters that we aren’t even even familiar wth yet?
I’m having a hard time trying to convince myself that this would be a good purchase.
I can’t remember the last special edition game that came with anything worth making it double the price. What makes me want this is the fact that there hasn’t been much GB stuff out there for years. I’m trying to tell my self that in the near future there will be tons, and not to waste time on this edition.
Well, there is still a lot of time to decide where to get the game.
I’d like to know how big that bust is.
Wait, so that Slimer and Ghostbusters sign pictured above…thats the bust? It looks like a cheap plastic toy. I was thinking about something a little bigger, heavier, and detailed. At least throw in a copy of the movie on Blu-Ray to help justify the price. Only think I’m really wanting is the keychain.
This is cool – It will be interesting to see how they present all of this good stuff in the box – I am sure it will come in some kind of nice, collectors box… The Slimer IS a little tacky – but it’s still a nice addition to our collections!

Although I’m sure the game will rock, these so-called “exclusives” are nothing short of unimpressive.
So this is the Slimer Edition of the game huh? I gotta tell you guys I think im deff good on getting this 130 dollar peice of crap. As much as I love ghostbusters as well the other people in this room I dont think it is worth it at all. I think im making out better keeping my reserve at gamestop for the free T-shirt and GB2 uniform.
Im torn. I dont want to seem like interest is lacking, and I LOVE the IDEA of the original sculptor producing a piece for the set… but ugh the execution… I cant speak poorly on this.. I won’t. Im gonna wait for more info.

I actually think the Slimer bust is pretty neat and detailed, but can’t justify it at that price. I like the Ecto-1B keychain. Hope someone posts a video of how that one lights up, etc.
Slimer is about 10″ tall on the base and he’s translucent, so you can see partly through him. He is very details down to the pimples on his butt!
*Slimer’s sculpted by [as stated here at PC] the SFX Guru who designed and sculpted THE ORIGINAL MOVIE-USED SUIT IN GB1, Steve Johnson…If ANYONE is qualified to sculpt a Slimer collectable, it’s him…And being as though it’s TRANSLUCENT, the picture is most likely NOT doing it justice…I can pick out key details just fine myself though – I think it looks GREAT…
*And as “SlimerFan” said – He’s 10″ tall WITH a GB1 HQ sign base…Try buying a “bust” like that by itself, ESPECIALLY sculpted by the character’s visual creator, for anything under $80-$100…
*Now having said that the “exclusive mini-mates” don’t grab me as anything “spectacular”, neither do the console skins…However I’ve been trying to get the keychain for sometime now…
*And yes – I would rather have the option to buy the bust [and/or the other stuff] and game separately, and not have to spend upwards of $140 or whatever on a “limited edition”, ESPECIALLY since I’ve pre-ordered at GameStop for the second time for the PS3/PS2/ and DS versions, which will no doubt equal to be about the price of that special edition…
*But what it really comes down to is money, and the ability to spend it…If you can’t afford it – Stick to GameStop or Wal-Mart…If you can you can…
*I’m going to BARELY be able to afford it, but I like it, so me – I’m getting it…Even if it’s redundant to get two of the same game for the same platform…

This is not a gamestop exclusive, this is an amazon exclusive. As of now I do not believe GameStop has announced any collector’s edition set, and there is no listing for said CE.
Getting more details on this set I am thinking that I am probably going to go ahead & get it. I’m going to be grabbing the Wii set as it’s cheaper, and I’ve already got my preorder for the 360 version at GameStop. (Looking forward to the T-Shirt & in-game uniform from gamestop for my preorder there.)
I think is very expensive for a keychain and a slimer toy (the minimes ghost mmm i dont know i dont like them), How about a real proton pack to raise some hell?? that’ll sweeten the deal for sure!!…jajja
