Ray Carsillo, at EPSN Radio 1050AM, is a bit of a Ghosthead as it turns out. For reasons I’m not entirely sure of, other than the fact that Ghostbusters is awesome, Carsillo interviewed Harold Ramis on all this Ghostbusters 2009 – you can hear that interview here! Thanks, Clay!
ESPN loves Harold Ramis. No foolin’

Ghostbusters = Awesomeness. One of the most fundamental mathematical proofs today.
14 minutes of sleep!!! That’s classic Egon!!
Did anyone else catch where Ramis said that the game wasn’t really meant to be a sequel, and that it wasn’t cannon? That sort of disappoints me a bit.
@SchottGun…I think he mis-interpreted the question, and thought the interviewer asked if the 3rd film would be BASED on the game, and so that’s why he said that it wouldn’t…at least that’s how I interpreted it..
I’m pretty sure Akroyd has stated it’s def canon…
@GHOSTWEBBSTA
@GHOSTWEBBSTA Yeah I’ve heard Aykroyd state it was canon as well, that’s why I was confused, LOL.
Yeah, Aykroyd has claimed the game to be canon – why not? It could be that Ramis simply doesn’t like the game story and refuses to accept it as canon. That is a possibility between writers that happens on many franchises. Only a GB3 movie can prove otherwise if this game or any game sequels are within canon. And yes, I’m hoping for game sequels, especially at some point a fully fleshed out Franchise Builder, putting the player in full control of creating their franchise down to the team characters, city (fictional or otherwise), firehouse, and make and model of the Ecto.
Just wanted to share that idea.
