These are old news – Grim Santo sent me links to these three weeks back and I guess I forgot about them until someone asked about the missing Thanksgiving Day Parade cut-scene – but hopefully new to some of you!
Rainmaker, who rendered the cut-scenes in the game, had to work in parallel with the development of the game. This meant that any changes to the flow of the game play meant that some cut-scenes ended up on the digital cutting room floor, so to speak. But, they’re still there in the game structure for those who know how to dig through game discs.
The footage of them dancing, a la the GB music video, and the evil Parade Balloon are two clips that got rendered, and were either part of a sequence that got cut mid-production or rendered specifically for use elsewhere (like a trailer.) Hard to say.

Ha – loved it when Peck lost it over Egon, “Get him off me!!”
I didnĀ“t remember the Parade scene and the daning ala GB theme dancing from the trailers… now I miss those.
It would be great to have the Parade and dancing scene as a future DLC for any console (PS3 or XB360).
If this twinky represents the size of a normal DLC, the parade level would be a twinky, 35 feet long and weighing approximately 600 pounds. Still, I’d love it.
I would say the evil balloon was rendered for a missing level…the one talked so much about with TR’s Infernal “crowd tech”, but was changed and dropped later on for whatever reason. You can tell that was meant, at one point, to be in the game. (I hope we get it some how!)
But as far as them dancing…I’d bet just for promotional purposes.
i hope it will be DLC but i doubt it!! i dont think thay plan to bring any DLC for the game and hope am wrong!! this only game i been playing since pre order pick up. muilty player can get enough!!
Dacing in the street and Ecto-1 being chase by ghosts were cut as well, go back and watch, and you’ll see.
Wish they’d show the game play of the parade level :/
I’m glad that someone put this up, but now I’m even more sad that this was taken out of the game.
I just updated my PC Video Files list to include links to some of the video files on YouTube that I uploaded, including the six unused videos (of which those parade videos are two).
According To Skanker_Zero, who worked on the game, the “dancing” sequence was just a “just for fun” render…
I personally really wish the parade sequence was in the game… would have made a great transition between the library and the museum. Frankly, I thought they trimmed the cut scenes a bit too tightly… everything seemed… hurried
I knew it! I knew stuff was missing! Wow, these are cool finds. Is there any footage of actual gameplay during the parade? And how was it supposed to fit into the game’s storyline? Why was it cut?
You can still see a small clip of the evil parade balloon scene near the end of the game, while the gang is watching the knocked over TV at the firehouse.
Yeah, but the dance scene? So totally could have been wonderful during the end credits. As a matter of fact, the noises during the end credits before the dialogue suggest a parade in the Ghostbusters’ honor. I really wish they had a little end credit sequence – like in GB1 and GB2 when the actors and names are shown and in GB2 they’re given the key to the city at/near Liberty Island. It would have been great. They dance, the main Ghostbusters theme with Ray Parker Jr. plays (wait… did that play AT ALL during the game? I can’t remember it…), and then after a short bit the Ecto-1B pulls up and they hop inside. Illysa and the Rookie are inside and Winston is driving. They then initiate the end credit conversation about franchise rights to the Rookie. Beautiful!
Well, actually, it would have been funny if the game ended with the parade balloon attacking and they’re just like, “Welp. Back to work.” Obviously it was great the way they left it, but you know… Wouldn’t have been much room for another level, obviously, but it would have been a nice little inside joke for having lost that level and ghost character.
the parade scene was a short sequence in the game as an news bulletin
before the central park /end game missions on the game but the museum sequence worked better and i think the ending was left open for either
an following up game or the ghostbusters 3 movie but the game it self was
a spooktacular hit 20 out of 10 it deserves a award for best cinematical end game battle sequence in an video game adaptation to a movie
